I'm afraid my mind strayed to equipment of the non-cycling kind...That's because you haven't got any flappy bits.
I'm exhausted just reading this! What I am hoping to do is ride to work 4 rimes a week, I go to the gym on Wednesdays so I cant ride and do gym on the same day as I will die! On the other days I swim so I figure my riding and a 20 length swim each morning should get me a lot fitter.
It sounds impressive, but I do only work 3 miles from where I live and the pool/gym is on the way. If I was cycling 20 miles to work it would be a lot more exhausting. During rush hour,I can ride home quicker than I can drive most days.I'm exhausted just reading this!
So did mine.I'm afraid my mind strayed to equipment of the non-cycling kind...

Once you're used to cycling everyday you'll be able to take a longer route to work.It sounds impressive, but I do only work 3 miles from where I live and the pool/gym is on the way. Thats what I am hoping, I have yet to attempt my nemesis hill yet though. I have ridden steeper ones in the last couple of days but this one has always been my bugbear. It is barely even a large mound but I have a mental block about it for some reason. Tomorow is the day....Once you're used to cycling everyday you'll be able to take a longer route to work.
It started off sunny here and I had a fun hour in the garden with the dog. We have a really long garden, mostly grass, but until yesterday the grass was in such a state that we weren't using it since last summer. But yesterday my partner mowed it (it took him an hour). Its the dogs first real taste of running in the garden (he was a wee pup last year). Its great to see him galloping the length of the garden (its about 55 metres long). Fantastic to be able to give him exercise without having to walk to the nearest park. Its also great for training as he isn't distracted by other dogs. He is doing agility classes and we are thinking of getting some equipment for the garden. Is it the same one you talked about a while back?Thats what I am hoping, I have yet to attempt my nemesis hill yet though. Yep, I conquered it on my old bike so theoretically I should sail up it on the new one, but ....Is it the same one you talked about a while back?
You'll be alright then.Yep, I conquered it on my old bike so theoretically I should sail up it on the new one, but ....

You want to try one round here. @stephec is dying to have a go, in both directions.Thats what I am hoping, I have yet to attempt my nemesis hill yet though. Come over and have a crack at getting up the hill coming out of Mawgan Porth. Hairpin at the bottom and then it's up, up and more bloomin' up! I got 1/3 of the way up and got off and walked only to have a bunch of 20 somethings on roadies make it look easyThats what I am hoping, I have yet to attempt my nemesis hill yet though.
