I bimbled over to dads to check the house and see if there was any mail. Had a bowl of his Baxter’s soup when I was there. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.

The typical British summer weather you describe has got to get a bet further west of Heilbronn before it gets me. Last week I went for a ride in the rain - started raining hard after 20 minutes so I turned round into driving wind to get home. Got soaked and cold. Since yesterday laid low with a cold, something I haven't had in years. So the sunshine outside is being wasted.
Oh well, in the spirit of this thread I'll put the kettle on and make myself a coffee ....

I'd a lovely bimble in the failing light around the back roads...
in between those using them as rat runs to get home..
then I remembered that's why I normally avoid being out at this time.....
locals sharing Tonic Wine whilst eating Chinese carry out food in the middle of nowhere..
(it was delivered to them)
I know Tonic Wine with a beef curry and fried rice..
(I knew one of them so I thought I'd better stop for a word)
Now in the bad books, someone never heard me say that I could be out when they returned..
someone forgot to take their key
