How would you manage to go back to somewhere you never left?

Sounds like the question "How can you be homesick for a place you've never lived?" but it can be done. The Welsh even have a word for it: Hiraeth.

I miss going into a down-at-heel chippy by the seaside and buying a portion of fish and chips that made your arteries scream as soon as you looked at it while having the pish taken out of you by the owner, then eating the chips on a freezing concrete sea wall, and following it with an Irn-Bru or similar depending on region.
