To use a metaphor, the boat sprang a massive leak in the summer so I've been hectically bailing the boat - but the ship is on an even keel again, for the moment, and I have hope that the new year will be much better

It's not over yet! It's Sale Time, Boxing Day and End of Year, to go.

Plus the reindeer have to be fed and watered, the sleigh cleaned before placing it into storage...

And as he passed over part of Scotland, it will have been Mo, Mo, Mo, as he checked his list and shook his head, maybe next time.
