Landing catches on a Sunday, used to be considered unlucky. Do they not have fresh fish up there? Cooked the same day it was brought ashore.

She'll be waiting next time, ready to run you out of town. Chinese takeaway?

Morning??

Did you try knocking!
This time.
Well have you got £68,000,000 to hand.

Still remember the Big Yin, at the Tay Bridge.
Sky to the east like a firework display...
planes circling to the SW waiting on the go ahead to land at Edi..
a couple already diverted...
winds from the E,
wonder when it'll arrive here..
Earplugs, where's my earplugs:laugh:

Nothing last night, nothing tonight here. Seems to have slipped up west o'Pennines.

The Valley is on flood alert. The council are hoping the defences actually work this time. But they're not sounding hopeful.

Boom bang a bang at times with main bits over us and SW of us..
Rain was above one inch per hour, some daft person has our windows open:laugh:
Impressive to say the least...
Thunder is spectacular.

I saw an article earlier about what the local plod had done somewhere but never noted the location, I assume your way?

Never known it go on for so long. Usually passes over quite quickly. I heard the first rumble around 10pm then it was like a disco all night until it eventually eased around 4.

I dozed off back of four and was still going great guns, as you say not the usual but planes couldn’t land at Edinburgh and diverted then hopped over around the storm around 3.
Have to say I enjoyed it, can’t remember such a display in years:okay:
Heading up the east coast with odd flash in Fife.

Morning all:hello:
Off to catch up on lost snoozing

Three flashes, the first at 02:17, with two rumbles of thunder, thought the second was just my stomach, and it was all over by half three. Even the rain had stopped.

Will you be leaving the window open tonight?

What's plod done this time?

Never got much down here, for the second night running.
A low of 26°C during the night/hours of darkness.

Is that why Glasgow was looking busy.
Never got anything like you're describing.

Catch up on lost snoozing, you'd do better staying awake and trying again tonight.
Just back a walk and it's still as muggy so it didn't clear the air much. I am going to chill for the rest of the day and maybe try and rest later too as I barely got any at all last night.
Friday night is supposed to be the worst this week.
What's needed is a decent thunderstorm, to clear the air.

Morning??
