No, no snow either high or low.

Heading to the new place with another load of boxes soon. We are almost at the stage when we can concentrate on cleaning - just have to ensure that mundane tasks like the laundry don't get forgotten.
That's a shame. Not lasting long here, all that digging to get the car out as well!

What about multitasking. You chuck a load in the washer, then whilst that's doing you carry on with your boxing(lessons).

You come across any nook or cranny you didn't realise was there yet.

I already do that sort of multi tasking at times and it works quite well. Got the last bedroom washed down but it ended up looking poor. I think the BIN primer will be my friend!

I'm going to have a good look at the top of our big double wardrobe as that's where something may have been put away safe and then forgotten. A stash of cash would be nice.

Watching the washing going round might be better entertainment than watching the telly at present.

Don't forget to check at the other end as well. You'll finally find that sock you thought you'd lost in the washer.

A belated G'day :hello:

Been busy at the new place. decided to concentrate on the kitchen - good grief, it may take 3 days! How anyone lived like that is beyond me - it was dust free but the grime is something else. We were told that the old lady just smoked in the kitchen so the smoke got everywhere. We just have to get it clean enough to use for a few weeks though. Wish us luck!!

Did our 'Tesco' shop tonight - got some better scrubbing pads and heavy duty cleaning materials - the vinegar/baking soda just wasn't up to the kitchen grime. We'll start earlier tomorrow and see if the 2 days will do.

I'd like to start on the bathroom on the 1st - it won't be so difficult and just has to be clean enough to wash - we've put up with worse in Cyprus.

Unfortunately this work is showing how bad Mrs B is as she is a willing volunteer but just can't grasp any instruction, no matter how simple. At least she can help a little and is good company.

We got our first piece of mail at the new address - just from the building society but it was nice to receive it as it gave payment details and welcomed us to our new home.

believe it or not I found an old cardboard tube of ajax under the sink - it had never been opened and the metal bottom left rust on the shelf! Works very well!

Tonight I got a spray of flash with fairy liquid to see if that's any good for cutting through the grime.

One way or another, we'll get the job done well enough to enable us to move in. We can, of course, carry on cleaning once we're in and having the contractors in to plan the refurb.
