They aren't Marilyns,
qualification is it has to be a Marilyn...
probably the Knock would be a weekend one when it's 'busier'...

Towpath is okay but I pine for the odd occasional incline,
I'm not quick on the up:bicycle:
my canal jaunt yesterday

uppy/dooney to start and to end
you can even see where I came off to head to Maccy's:laugh:
Do they have to be "Marilyns", can't you climb them because they're there?

Around the halfway mark, by any chance.

Marilyns, yes.
Other criteria for the other countries taking part.
Marilyn system is excellent, gives a level playing field..
There are scoring variants for parts of the UK..

Your lot HERE

I'm in 17th place in GM land..
but it isn't a competition..
I've taken part since 2009 but none so far this year (for obvious reasons)..

Because they're there, no longer good enough. Just think of them as practice.

Owdo

That's no good, all those points and nothing for them.
You've got another in the other leg, use that one. Give up, never!

Morning??
Still but only just^_^

Fence work calls, double slatting existing fence..
battery on hand drill running out..
sometimes wonder if to buy a DeWalt (or other makes available) for the bigger battery but I suppose not used as much to justify..
Heavy going:laugh:
51 to go (panting emoji)
Mrs M out applying a coat to some more..
Teamwork:ohmy:

At least you're just, even if just still.

Scottish fencing team at work.
The battery will sill run out on a DeWalt. Why not just get a second battery.

51, didn't you have less than a dozen last time?
Who's the supervisor though.

The drill cost me £12 or near..
I have another cordless drill (Aldi special, have to say it's a brill one)but it is 'lost' in the garage.
Trust me, putting 50mm screws in is heavy going..

I had to buy another 80 to finish the job.
the price of wood is through the roof

I reckon another two sessions (battery allowing)
plus remember Le Tour is 'live'..^_^

Be cheaper by another drill at that price. Or go for a mains one.

Don't go rushing it, you'll have no energy to watch the tour

I'm alternating:wacko:
wood not drying quick enough after a coat of fence paint..
will attack it later on but shortage of screws might put the kybosh..
I'll say one thing, I spent extra in buying good quality screw bits (and drills), worth their weight in gold.

Impressive crowds at Le Tour...

Jack of all then...
Not drying, you had overnight or early morning rain?

You using "Twinfast" screws, developed for power screwdrivers.

Feet up and now rehydrating. The cycling just happened to be on the telly.

Damp air last night, and nowt else here.
Why not those japanned ones that are black.

There's been one or two bikes parted company with their riders.

Le Tour was frightening today.

I've always used zinc coated on any fencework,
got enough to complete ^_^
Contractors put up initial fence but I've double slatted three sides (other side was done by builder)
I'd been let down at least three times by 'eejits' who were to do the work and do some decking for me,
Mrs M thinks I'm needing an easy life in my old age:cuppa:
Price agreed each time then ....who knows..

I'll get round to the decking next year when I've saved up for the wood..
that has fair shot up in price since Brexit..
Supplier I have dealt with for the two lots are still much cheaper than most of the locals and bigger merchants..

anyway still some slats to do tomorrow morning and maybe risk an out on the bike after.

maybe
where's the booze:laugh:
and the rhubarb crumble I can smell:wacko:

Now you're doing it yerssen, is it worth it?
These fella's that were going to be doing it, did they also happen to have a bit of tarmac going spare.

I think price has gone up with demand, over the last year. More not wanting to have to cut the grass every month, so they've replaced it with decking.

You'll be trying a few hills on the morrow.

And don't crumble.
