Pitch black here now. It's after 6pm local time.
I have to say I don't miss anything as I'm very happy here. If the summers weren't so darned hot I would seriously consider staying and so would Mrs B, although she misses the family more than I do.

Extreme heat is something I find difficult. It does take its toll on the body and can be very draining (I'm trying to reassure myself that I don't really want to live in the sun).

Going to start my commute home soon. Need some 60.5% ABV Aberlour once im home 
Summers here are like an oven with high humidity thrown in at night and are something to be endured rather than enjoyed in my opinion so I have never considered staying here full time. Winter has been fab so far as late Oct and Nov were glorious but the day temps lowered to high teens - low 20's in Dec with very cold nights. It doesn't rain often but comes in torrents when it does arrive. Overall it has been a great experience so far. We are so glad that we came.Extreme heat is something I find difficult. As you well know we never intended to stay. Things could always change though - we could end up going to Ireland for Summer holidays instead of taking Winter holidays in Cyprus!! I doubt it but wouldn't say "never".
