Oops, late again:cuppa:
Visitors earlier then I SPOKE with someone on't radio:ohmy:
Devastation all down the east coast, we had some shelter from the winds..
Tay Bridge recorded winds of 91 mph, phew
Hope all are safe...
Well the wind has abated, still the odd gust, but there's around an inch of snow on the ground and more falling.
The power has gone off, again, and there is nothing moving on the roads. Not certain if it's the snow or the wind that has stopped movement.

There's folk at a loss with the power gone, they don't know what to do. No telly or computer games, they may be forced to speak to each other.

Other than the above, it's just another day.
Imagine talking to each other:laugh:

Late due to the weather?
They'd not have accepted that from you at school. You've not gone soft in your later years are you!! Your supplies holding out?
You actually spoke to someone on the airwaves. That sounds unbelievable.

Escaped the worst of the weather, being down in a valley, but we always get the snow. Now below freezing point for the last three hours.

There's some who didn't know what to do, especially as the mobile networks went down as well.

M62, transpennine, shut early on. To be expected in bad weather. Also closed over Wakefield way after a herd of cows got onto it.

Hopefully you avoided the worst of the weather by being asleep.

Just late,
visitors mid morning and a couple of things to do before,
we are 270 degrees higher ground behind us,
we have a 'crunch' in the grass this morning as I got stuff out of the shed...
Think lots of trees, other damage etc on parts of our east coast, haven't seen any national news but a forum I look in on had quite a few horror stories late and overnight, unusual for E wind to be that strong, most destructive winds come in from the SW and W.

Not seen any national news, just heard the local stuff. We appear to have escaped the worst of it. With another cold night in the offing.

T'was a Nor'Easter that hit here. Partially funnelled by one valley.
Getting summat out of a shed wouldn't have been high on the list this morning for most.

Sadly finding some sheds may have been a problem.
Family up NE had a tree fall into the back of the house extension,
only minor damage apparent
Tree came across from the next, next garden, a reet, old one.

You'll be hitting the slopes with the young'un and the sledge later. Going down the local "Crest Run" in a way not seen since you were a young'un.
What we got yesterday morning has since frozen. You'll get your share yet, don't worry.

Seems to have been very few injuries mentioned on the news last night.

Start waxing those runners!

Thought you said your garden was on a slope. And you did have a sledge at one time.

If you've the same as we have, more snow falling, it'll be gone before you get out on yer bike.

How's the lazy day going, not been over thinking things I hope.

Thought with threatened temps. time to check how to shut off outside tap..
Man on radio said the land of the Jock minus 7 but we are forecast for -5:cold:

Not sledge able, you can't let the young'un down like that.
No leaves, or other obstructions on the track.
You need never get lost again when you go out hunting McD's coffee. Waymark them all, then in times of need head for the nearest.
What's your weather station showing?
