It's odd how so few of these places have a downhill escape route. You stop at the top?
You could have cast yer expert eyes over it before declaring that it all needed relaying. And you knew someone who could do it, at a "reasonable price".
Shut it for a day, they'll have been overjoyed at you doing that. Did you roll it all or just parts, leaving the roller visible.
Big Orange bloke just buys the course, setting his own figures. Don't like it, go somewhere else. The biggest moaners just don't want to admit it's them that's the problem.
Never having played, or tried to play, I'll take yer word on it. Grass is important though, I do know that much.
Don't have to buy toys now, nor sell them. Woolies were handy right enough, look at how many other places started selling toys when they went. Then the Irish came over with Smyths shortly after Woolies went.

Makes it easy to get them something though, being into something like that.

I avoid them now...
A green(s) are so expensive to maintain..
Some clubs have those who consider it a labour of love...

Golf courses always seem to have a hierarchy..
Many who start on the council courses with a club always want to move to a private club...
Some of the council courses I've played on were in far better condition, but it's being part of the social scene.
Mind you, annual fees reflect that..
I did have a freebie anytime I played the council course. The course I joined was at my back door, 5 five-minute walk, and my kids were juniors plus handy for a pint:whistle:.
The other was an hour's cycle away- hills included:laugh:

I visited Woolies most Sat to look at the new Airfix stuff..
I grew up with yon glue that stoned you....
Pick'n'mix, less said the better..
They just never moved with the times....

Mrs M is in charge of kids' toys..
Our g/kids play with some of their granny's toys..
and Mrs M kept almost everything from our three, Toodles has her Mum's Baby Annabelle and lots of other stuff...
My kids have stopped saying, ' Still got that?'

Can't say I blame you. Especially after yer near miss at one.
Maybe the one you pedalled away from, at speed, were hoping you'd do it as a labour of love, thereby not having to pay you.
Never been a member, but I have been to one of the local ones for meetings with the Chair of the club. Lost count of the number of members who ignored me going in or out. I didn't look as though I were there to take to the greens. Both local ones are private ones, no council ones round here.

Used to visit Woolworths, when it were in it's original location for much the same reasons as yerself. But we'd two decent model shops in the town centre as well. One doing balsa kits.
The pic n'mix was an attempt to move with the times that backfired on them. Thefts and people spoiling the whole lot by pouring the contents of bottle in them.
You never buy them any toys!!
How'd you manage when they see something they want in a shop.
A relative of mine has done similar. Toys and games from when their kids were little.
Embarrass them in front of their friends.

Most clubs are the same....
I'm a Groucho type and always avoided joining anything...

Anyway, garden again today...
Have a couple of things to do...
It'll need to be early as she who we shall speak in hushed terms will appear at some point :hyper:
Almost got all my latest return batch of cards ready, just under half to put printed labels on..

Hee Hee are calling back this morning,
cheapo sim required or it's making another Smarty choice or going with Susie of Stockport (or one of that ilk), I'm in a bad signal area as I found out when asking about who uses what (nearby).
Almost wifi calling for most, unbelievable in this day and ask..
Off to play with the printer today again....

Not just sports clubs either.
If they'd have you, who else would they let in...
No club memberships here either. Similar reasons.

You'll have finished them all by now, sun loungers out ready for the summer sun.
In hushed tones, her hearing that good.
Self adhesive labels or the sort you lick before use? She who is spoken of in hushed tones could come in handy for the second type.

Hee Hee are fast becoming a joke.
I've line of sight on two of their masts, but my connection is to one two miles away. They keep on telling me the fault is at my end when I phone to ask what the problem is, despite being informed by text message by them there's a problem. Methinks voip calling is just a way of getting money twice for a service they can't provide. Half of the last month spent on a 2G network.
Paper or plastic?

Good Tuesday to you:hello:
Just under 2c earlier,
sun getting higher so 6c almost..
Going to be another 'taps aff' day (no Bob just no):giggle:
Owdo
The same to thee.
We've been told to expect it to be warmer than Spain these next few days.
Talk about a water shortage already for these parts. Why not Bob?

more likely, everybody else does...

It's been one of those days so far...
at least some good stress is heading my way.....

Be techy, Mr C..
PLA..

Don't go getting yer hopes up, just to have them smashed.
In all honesty customer service was never considered important by them. They bought T-Mobile and made it worse. Only they had the backing of BT to do so. BT Cellnet(remember them!) were no better on that part. A company where those in the shops are measured by what they sell isn't much of a company.

Wouldn't be a local, to you, fuel company would it?
It's not just you, yet not getting paranoid. Most are the same with everyone these days. Happy to sell you whatever it is they sell, not bothered about dealing with you when things go wrong.

I was going to put that, but then thought if you're printing on paper, it's ink yer using.
You have all yer labels printed, and stuck in place!
Awaiting that "WOW" moment, from she who is talked about in hushed tones no doubt.
Another dibber, one that allows you to do a row in one go!
Dun't come when you call it?

Yer outside on yer sunlounger, enjoying a cold one in the sun.

Just tell them to sit down, and remind them that they should be seen and not heard.
Possibly like you were when you were their age.

Not as glamorous as that..
(we don't have any)
(hot) porridge and (cold) concentrated tomato juice....

I was told I was a quiet and timid wee soul....

I've normally had no complaints...
I was more than happy to hang with them but the buying of a phone makes a big difference to cost....
I was originally going to pass it on to Mrs M, but she got new and sparkly
So must look at Bara of le, Ty of Smar etc etc and make my mind up...
The neighbour has Bara of le and like me has to use the wifi calling at times....
If I meet Bevin of Kacon, I promise he'll not get a signal where the phone goes (esp if it's here)
I might be able to save for a 9700 now......

Oldest was down and did some skimming turf for me..
all bagged ready to be skipped, good lad.
I just have to rake and level it, maybe 30 mins?
then order more stones, chips or whatever they are....

Off to annoy Gas of Britannia

Just sat on the doorstep, blocking the door.
You could always buy one...
So you have had a cold drink this morning.

And were you?

So long as the thing works, who complains.
I think they're the holders of the record for the largest markup on handsets. Year on year.
Did Mrs M want new and sparkly. Learning about the subtle differences between them, things that were possible on the old one not possible on the new one.
I've only got the SIM contracts with them, the handset is min. Bought separate.
Got helpful advice from them, Hee Hee, when it came to WiFi calling. Get another provider on the MiFi and use them for WiFi calling when the signal drops to 2G.
I've an older mobile you can use should you meet him, and still feel that way inclined.

He skimmed it but left you to get rid of it. You missed summat with him when you passed yer gardening skills on.
All done by now. Idle hands and all that....
Chips go with fish first, then poker/gambling. You feeling lucky...

Have fun.

Did an online chat with Gas of Brit..
instant connection, wow.
He came back 8 mins after saying I was through to ?????????.
Apparently, it should be resolved..
It isn't....
Shower of chanty wrasslers.....

Hee Hee?
website says i have two sim options only with my FandF..
BIG upgrade on what I have now Data wise
My accountant is here tomorrow to advise (Toodles Mum, is)

All bagged, and the first skip run is booked.
Skips were closed today, or it would have been moved. a couple of runs I reckon; luckily, the skip site is under 10 minutes away..
I levelled and sprayed weedkiller on the grass area, not skimmed (on a very slight slope).

Let's say she moves up 9 years...

Think the instant connection is to catch you out. You're not expecting it so you go and look at something else, come back and they've closed the chat because you weren't there.
They can always offer you more ways to part you from your cash though.
Chanty wrasslers? Say what you really think, see how much gets through, unchanged, by the filter on here.

Hee Hee, tried to pay my bill and wasn't allowed yesterday afternoon. Try again on Saturday.
FandF?
Two options, is that all. I got given four different ways to part me and my money. And only one of them was actually viable. The other relied on their network being up and working, or else they'd be paying me twice what I'd have to pay them. So not an option really.
See what yer accountant says later today.
Odd to think it were inclusive texts and minutes years ago that were selling points. Now it's what the handset is supposed to be able to do and data. How times change!!

Then once "you've"* taken them all there, the car will require cleaning, no doubt.
Couldn't you have gone down and checked yer pitching arm out, a bag at a time into the skips, over the fence. Maybe try the "highland fling", akin to the hammer throw but not as much spinning around.
So come the summer sun and warmer weeks, yer'll be out sunbathing...

Move up nine years. Were her old phone that old!

*They ever sort out that bit were you were the car driver, that didn't drive. Causing Mrs M to pretend she were you.
