I ate five, but only three worked.

Well I'm going to go for at least half a dozen tonight. Table booked for 8pm.

Try telling that to our lot.

8 hours between shifts (they would try to get away with less, if you let 'em).

Union reps are getting their bread buttered by Management & often side with management, they get the shorter, better, easier shifts more often than the rest & one of them is a Supervisor, so he is compromised by being responsible for reporting staff & then defending them.

Quite how this situation is allowed to exist I have no idea.

I saw the pavements still showing signs and headed down the hill to sea level, played icebreaker on a golf course track through deep puddles before being warned 'icy round the corner, big yin' and it was..sea level but shaded.

Unlikely unless they were actually dead oysters. They are alive before you open them and cut the 'muscle' attaching them to the shell. Its really only old dead fish and shellfish which can poison. It could be that you are allergic to them.

Literally straight off the boat. I have lived, right on the coast, on and off for years. We used to be given money by our parents and we would go down to wait for the boats and then take fish, oysters etc straight home (400 yards or so). I am thinking allergic reaction to the horrible things. I'm not trying them a second time.
I don't eat any shellfish at all, ever Actually, fish needs to come in cakes or fingers for me to eat them

Ah well. I think you are missing one of life's highs. But obviously not if it makes you sick! I had 9 oysters (six rock and two natives). Plus three bowls of mussels. It was eat as much as you like mussels night at the restaurant. Now you really will feel sick!

Poor bloke, he's going to be knackered by the time you've finished with him.

He's spark out on the bed, fully clothed. It would be most unkind of me to take a photo...
