Where are you all?
You lazy bunch
Been up since 5.50am but only just looked in here. Morning all.

I have already had my early walk and breakfast.

The wind is now picking up which I hate if I want to go out on the bike. Jury is still out.

Good morn, fine people of Tea:hello:

Been stuck in the land of no mobile, no internet for a few days but had 3 days of different roads.
Hope all are well:okay:

Ah, Mo. Wind?
I've spent three days pedalling constantly into the wind, every direction faced the wind. On Monday, I suffered badly. It was serious wind.(just seen Strava)

Does my head in. My old legs don't work very well some days as it is and where I'm situated 90% of my rides mean coming home into a head wind. Gets a bit demoralising.

Monday was bad, really bad.
I decided on the Birkie Dykes hill rather than up over Liff, bad move. The last mile should have been a fast descent into the village but I had to pedal at times. I'm the same here as the prevailing breezes are faced on.
Builds up the legs LOL.

I had put two routes on Polar but who forgot the Polar? and had to use Strava and Endo, no internet and lost Mon on Strava, the next two days were okay.
I almost paid BT 6 quid for access to one of their hotspots..
I got full signal/internet from here yesterday morning,
I'd just got to the top and my phone rang, hospital appointment LOL
Kinpurnie Tower (337 x 600).jpg

A 'brisk' accent, Kinpurnie Tower.
I could even see it everywhere I cycled on the last two days.
I've been going up that way for 40 years and finally climbed the hillside yesterday

Is that where you're from originally?

Good Morning :hello:
Good morning everyone. Quite misty here today. Have a good one :hello:
Heading off to a lime manufacturer's presentation of a new product. If you want to know more about chalk (rather than sand) based lime renders, and I'm sure many of you do, then line up your questions and I'll do my best to answer them around lunchtime when I'm back. ;)
Quick Lime!

And you're indoors.

Wouldn't a Dr. have been better see, if you'd wind problems?

Classic probably has a recipe for making a bomb with those ingredients.
Just check the ingredients on cough sweets/medicine, then add a daily dose!

CL, or NHL? Lime is rather a generic term. And we're talking specifically about chalk-based lime renders, here (although the Spanish for "render" is "mortar", and it was a Spanish chemist who gave the main talk, which caused some confusion). Chalk-and-fibre (bovine hair, generally) is the traditional East Anglian approach with our highly flexible timber buildings, but the Spanish tend to base their renders on sand. I think what you want to know, however, is 14 feet, albeit you probably meant to say 4270mm. I hope this is all becoming clear now.
