Evenin' all. Long days yesterday and today. I built these:

You're looking at the brickwork, folks. The first is a spine wall in a combination potting shed/ greenhouse, and the second is a retaining wall around the patio behind our house, with the piers in the foreground being the location of a set of steps.
Why the mix of breeze blocks and Red Brick though?

Are shortcuts being made?

Notice the smaller roof remains unfinished.

These are reclaimed bricks, from the plinth and the chimney of the old part of the cottage. I only have enough to do a 4" skin of brickwork, but need 9"masonry (this wall is going to be 10' tall). The blockwork is inside a potting shed, so it's not critical. And yes, the small roof is still awaiting its slate.

Thought you said you'd made a start on it though.

Morning WD. Yep, it's glorious here, as it has been for a couple of days. I'll fit a ride in if I can, but I might be a bit busy. Toddling off for a few days, so lots to do to get ready.

Good Morning :hello:
Morning. I have had a walk and finished breakfast.

Bit dull so intending to get stuck into rubbing down all the door frames and skirting in the hall prior to doing some painting. Not my favourite job but it's been needing done for ages.
