Still looking after the moggy's over there @Blue ?

:hello:
:hello:
No, moggy duty ended 12 days ago because we moved apartment. We weren't happy with the first place and moved into a 4th floor penthouse apartment which is smaller(although as big as we need) but with better facilities, more comfort, and great views while still being in the same preferred area.
The new place does, of course, have cats around. Indeed the night we came to first look at the place there was a cat sitting on the low roof of the entrance and it came down and actually seemed to be showing us around as we looked about the building - even walking us back out to the road when we left. Come to think of it maybe she didn't like the look of us and was showing us the way off the property!!

Καλό απόγευμα.

That's pronounced "Ka low ah poh yev ma" with the 2 'o' sounds stressed. It means 'good afternoon' but is only used for a couple of hours in late afternoon so isn't heard often as one tends to talk to the locals in the morning and evening/night only. Indeed, I don't recall anyone ever using it until a recent afternoon when I asked a Cypriot if it was ever used!
So ends todays lesson on Greek language and culture!!

Hello Mr Centurion :hello:
And all the other desperados you mentioned whether here or not, and are sadly missed.
Been out bike riding nice little 52 mile ride rather windy with a couple of light showers but at least it was out in the fresh air :okay:

I'm not a Dubai fan but the scenery today in Stage 3 was stunning apart form the last 200-300m up yon dam wall..
I think I could 'suffer' that:okay:

We went there in 2008 on the way back from Malaysia. It was a building site 24/7 and some of the buildings were spectacular. I know the financial crisis cause some of the plans to be scaled back but I would imagine the place is still pretty amazing. I would like to go back in a few years time to see how it is looking.

This was outside of the tourist area and looks so barren but as in most of these cycling tours is a scenery 'sell', I know someone who is out regularly lecturing and loves it but the heat would make me melt..

Thanks for warm welcome!

Hope everyone has had a good day. I'm home for quick cuppa after another glamour filled day at work. Shower calling, then off to swimming lessons with my 3 little terrors, no rest for Daddy!
Need to find time later to fit new brake blocks and face the look of disgust from Mrs O when she finds a bike in the kitchen. Dying to get out for a decent ride, I've been rubbish this winter and need to get some miles in me legs before weather picks up.
