I think it was the Landlady - a very nice Irish lady who is married to a Cypriot man.

I hate the ones who leave Ireland and spend the rest of their lives working in a foreign government department in a foreign land but spend their evenings listening to rebel songs, thinking they are as Irish as a stick of rock with 'Eire' right through it's core and pushing their nationalism in your face - and I've met a few!!
I was thinking more of those who become "oirish" for the day(weekend). There's plenty that have left.
Oh yeah, I know plenty have left and there's nothing wrong with that. It just rankles me when some of them seem to go out of their way to prove their Irishness and take it to what seems a very artificial level in my eyes.
