Yes... a bit damp. But a rather nice moist kind of damp. You can tip some rum into it too! Its very easy to make. Worryingly, I actually remember this cake back in the '50's! Here is another photo I took with '50's props:

BTW, the ice cream is Lemon & Lime ripple, Raspberry ripple with a dribble of maple syrup.. That is at least 3 of my 5 a day

Getting back down should be easier.

It was a lot easier - yesterday I was glad I carry diluted fruit juice with me on my hikes.
It's starting to get very warm in the direct sun - a reminder of why we don't want to stay for the summer when it gets stupidly and unrelentingly hot.
