What happened?

Basicly I was coming back from CC's drinks meetup Friday just gone. Halfway home and a chain link broke while I was out of the saddle trying to put the power down and pull away from some traffic lights. Completely lost my balance and couldnt regain it as i was clipped in and ended up face planting onto the tarmac.

And you never got the poster!!
I'll tell you better than that!
We have been meeting a friend from Barnsley in the karaoke bars for many years. He was born with only one hand and sings all the old crooner numbers. One of his songs was 'Can't help falling in love' and he wore a Mickey Mouse hand on his stump while singing that - until he got to the line "take my hand" when he would hold out his arm and the KJ would pull the hand away to reveal the stump - the shocked faces of the 2 week holidayers who didn't know him were priceless. Well, our friend was in the bar on a Monday singing and left his hand behind the bar for Tuesday; only to arrive to locked doors on the Tuesday evening. As far as we know his hand is still in there as the place was boarded up and has remained closed.

Would a crabs joke be too obvious?

You don't need central heating at the moment, it's tropical.
I adore crabs -in fact ant kind of seafood. But the first time I had crabs was when I was seventeen... and that was the wrong sort!:laugh:
As for the boiler it was being repaired because we had no hot water - although being a molly coddled old bird, I have the heating on all year round on a thermostat set exactly for 23.5 C.

Good afternoon everybody. Nothing much to report except that the hot water is working and it seems very mild outside.

That is a very vivid and surreal story...
