Morning everyone. Following the news today closely.

Fort McMurray - a town in Alberta, pretty much the hub of those who work in the oil patch out there, is almost all burned down. Wildfires spread yesterday and have pretty much engulfed the place. Mandatory Evacuation Order has been in place since yesterday, people fleeing... Pretty terrible.

I travelled to work a bit early today to allow time for a visit to Rapha near St Anne's Square.

Fortunately for my bank balance they didn't have the item I wanted .....

Unfortunately for my bank balance they do have it online & I have ordered it & another item I hadn't planned on but thought "what the heck" !!!

No serious injuries or deaths reported yet. Upwards of 50,000 people have fled so far.

The reports look terrible jhawk! 80,000 people told to leave their homes, which will in all likelihood be completely destroyed. A quick google tells me that is the rough equivalent of a UK city like Durham or Lincoln being altogether lost. Dreadful.

That's what it would be like, yes. Awful stuff.

We are going to Heacham in July, delightfully flat cycling for a couple of afternoons.

Quite well, sold plenty but N+1 will have to wait as I have spent it all already.

Not wanting to pry, just seems to have slowed down in that part. Even given them away doesn't appear to be easy.

Half the country away mate. All safe here. I have a few friends who've evac'd already - they're all safe and accounted for too.

Can give you the oxygen tank, including mask. Guarantee they'll see you. They saw me anyway.

Going quiet now.

Four & half hours, and I'll be getting up ready to start out at Five, finishing in just under twenty-two hour from now. Then onto the Leisure Centre until about three & back at half eight.
