we hope to catch a glimpse while walking home from the pub tonight.
Just stand there, looking up outside the pub!

See how many, if any, ask if you'd like a drink.

As most of the last 20 years has involved transport for supermarkets, either as driver or transport manager, I have never done a 'normal' shift pattern.
I was on 03:00 starts for 7 years, then 04:00/06:00 for 5 years.
As manager, I was on rotating 8 hour shifts, earlies, lates and nights, then 4on4off alternating day and night 12 hour shifts, 06:00 or 18:00 starts.
I now do 'lates' 13:30 to 15:00 start times and rarely have to set my alarm clock.

And, as to celebrate an early finish today, I'm having a glass of wine and a Hot cross Bun..

:becool:
A bit early for Hot Cross Buns...

I have strategies for getting back to sleep. - mainly working out recipes and menus in my head.

That would probably send me to sleep as well.

Might get offered a chip. There are several bars in the area and most people seem to rush into the fast food outlets as soon as the bars close.

As to the shooting stars we won't see much until we get near the bay where we live as it's there that the light pollution dims. Even then it's a little overcast today so we may not get lucky unless it clears.

I think I speak for everyone in the Tea thread when I ask.
