Those "qualified" workmen were looking for a gas main in front of someone's house, and hit the electric main.
Unless you mean the "qualified" workmen who shut off half a mile of road then left for the weekend. Emergency work, and they're doing nowt whilst 0800 Monday.

... anyway, it seems to be a good day for Sunderland. And I managed to cook and write up a new curry recipe. And my ribs is gettin' better. So it ain't all bad.
Don't know why I'm talking East End English.

Just a quick update due to text message received.
Engineer they sent out to have a word with me over the road closure couldn't make it.
Reason: He couldn't get through due to the road being closed!

Just walked home from the pub at 2am in a t-shirt up top and felt overdressed. Superb climate.
Anyway... I just took the dog out for a wee. Its pissing down and a howling gail out there.
