Morning!

I know a few who've actually done just that.

I don't know, try to pass on these money saving tips, and look at what happens!

 Even my dad wasn't that bad and I thought he was the meanest git that ever walked the planet. Mind you, the things he used to buy for my mum for Christmas did beggar belief - such as a new iron or the like(I kid you not)!

This is all your lots' fault. I had the strangest dream last night involving dining in a stately home and then being taken to the window to witness the bizarre re-routing of a steam train into the formal gardens. Apparently there were model railway tracks from a former era which were somehow perfectly adequate for the full sized Steam train.
I think a certain Mr S Freud would have had a field day with that dream. Did the railway line go through a tunnel?

Club 50 gives me 20% off off-peak tickets, plus the odd £17 anywhere within a month return (off-peak travel) all for £15 a year. I did get a £1 return (same conditions) which I used to travel the West Highland Line. Oh, and you must do this one, the scenery is breathtaking. Due to time constraints I only got as far as Fort William but next time, it'll be Mallaig and crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct (see Harry Potter movie)
There are gems if you are willing to search out advance £5 single fares but these are well in advance. A pal got Mallaig for only £8 a return using over-50s card but hey, great value. Bikes are free apparently.
I also get cheaper off-peak with my old punter bus pass, return to Glasgow? 2/3 of the price. Pfft, I can just cycle there (as I do on occasion)

Good morning foot soldiers of the Tea army:hello:
And good afternoon from me too!:okay::cuppa: I'm rocking out to the Stones and The Cult while writing out Christmas cards and wrapping presents:music:.

Hi De Hi! (in my best gravelly Gladys voice)..
Good afternoon^_^

It's been a miserable auld day but got a short 'oot'.
I dreaded the 'Dad' call earlier on, it meant 'Parcels'..
I thought a quick, short one..as I had to 'cover' parcel duty from midday.

They'd arrived just after I left, no text to say or I'd have stayed out.
Stern words muttered.

And good afternoon from me too!:okay::cuppa: I'm rocking out to the Stones and The Cult while writing out Christmas cards and wrapping presents:music:.

I was 'had' by a couple of 'wise' Cypriot kittens when out on my walk today. When out I always carry a small bag of dry cat food in case I come across a needy soul and near the turning point of my walk I came upon a bedraggled little mite sitting on a wall. I got the biscuits out and as soon as I did a bigger immaculate looking kitten appeared for a share. It was as if the bigger kitten had said to the little one "you look needier, sit out there and someone will feed you and that way we'll both get some grub".

Now having a :cuppa: with a couple of Papadopoulos low fat with fig digestives - very nice :hungry:.

New stations, wooden platforms, built for expensive out of the city center housing estates. Drive 20 yards to the station and then have to find a parking space. Then walk to catch the train into the city center. All the while complaining about the noise the trains make, some even work! on them.

Summatsup, double post with the same number disappears!!

They've built two new stations between Shipley and Leeds , I believe , at least one of them was in service last time I took the train to Shipley .
