Yeah, it's basically small brown trout, grayling, and salmon are present late in the season but by the time they reach the club stretches they are in their 'tartan breeks' (red and out of condition).
I'm gonna get the fly tying gear out to see if these fingers have still got it.
I think they have almost 15 miles of small (and I mean small) burns and main river fishing.
At the widest part of the river, I could clear it with a hop, skip and jump. Water levels come into play so gotta keep an eye on river watch counter...
I walked up a short stretch earlier to try and catch a photo of a dipper (I made too much noise) and just sat and watched something sipping the odd fly off the water, in January as well.

Despite having to grapple with some very slippery & bikini clad lasses, it was quite embarrassing & not in the slightest sexually arousing.
I did score a new GF out of it though, a few weeks later, an admirer from the sidelines.
Now that was fun.
