Evening all. Just back from a little trip to a country hotel nr. Ipswich. Its not a good idea to drive around Ipswich in the dark, in the late rush hour. After going round in circles 4 times we decided to go and eat in a country pub instead - so we never saw the Quayside! On the way back we stopped in Hadleigh where I bought red mullet and oysters for tonight. Red mullet is a rare treat...

and it rained most of the day, torrential at one point

I really meant most of my run
I funnily met a pal and he said 'I'd rather have this mild weather than the usual mix of wet, ice, snow we normally get this time of year.
I'm sure the snow and ice will return with a bang
Once again, a two-hour actual cycle gets a bit longer due to socialising

I won't be venturing out on the bike. I've had enough of filthy roads for the time being. Some more walking will be in order soon I think.
