Wish I had your skills..............so much work needing done in my house. Seem to have been short of money for so long that it still resembles a house from the seventies with the original kitchen and coloured bathroom

It scares me what tradesman charge these days but I will need to get some stuff done at some point I suppose. Think when you're just on your own, you don't bother the same.

Some would take advantage of all that and you'd see much chin rubbing, sucking of air through the teeth, you'd wonder how the house had stayed up.

We've had a wee glitch, plumbing wise..
Mrs M has called around 8 local plumbers.
apart from one, they were all home numbers.
They all answered right away..( I know, redirect)
They quote their price per hour, plus VAT in most cases...
I'd love a job where I can earn well into the thousands every week.
4 weeks, 3 weeks, too busy blah blah..

We finally got a local guy who could nip up once he is finished his present job but will nip up tomorrow.
Next time, I hear the ********* needs done up..
I'm off abroad or somewhere for the whole time.

Anyhoo, I need chocolate, cider, a run on my bike, my insanity..

please excuse the wee rant..
I'm told I'm the one who never gets fazed, today is a new experience

I thought I had found it and went out today but t'was a bit of a struggle, especially heading home into a gusty south westerly. Never mind, that's it done.

Scrambled egg on toast for lunch. A few cuppas and a browse then I will no doubt head out for a wander.............no wonder the house always looks like a tip as I'd rather be outside than in doing houseworky stuff!
