Good Morning :hello:
Morning all. Last knockings of this big job this morning, them I'm out to work on the outbuildings.

There are 3 police cars and an ambulance in a lane just across the field, attending a head-on collision between two cars, one a mobility-type disabled vehicle. They've been there for over an hour, so I am guessing that things aren't good.

Oh no! Why put yourself through such an experience? I'd rather visit the dentist!!
It's a decoy. She'll be nipping into Sainsburys instead.

Morning?

Nah. Mike is correct.........I hate shops, but I have a £30 gift voucher for Argos from Christmas and better use it up. All I can think of that I am needing is a new kitchen bin. How exciting!

Dont listen to him Mo, stay in bed at night :stop:
At least my mum is there to have a chat to.

Dental check up all fine. Healthy teeth and gums ^_^

Wandered down to Argos and ordered my bin which will be delivered tomorrow. Was never so glad just to head straight back to the car and get home. Perth high street has become really dowdy with the usual shop closures and scruffy individuals hanging about. Quite sad. Used to be a lovely town.

Same as everywhere I guess Mo.
Some towns and cities obviously worse than others given the local economic situation unfortunately.
Wonder if you happened to see any of your previous guests from your old job??
At a guess I would have considered Perth to have been in a better situation than a lot of other towns and cities. Is it not well known as a tourist city and access towards the Highlands?
Though you will find the normal collection of wasters everywhere

Shall we now call it

'The Fair Midden That's Perth'
I've always had a soft spot for the fair toon, many happy memories of the Cellar and riotous nights ( I worked in Dunkeld so you can see where I'm coming from)

All town centres are showing 'for rent or sale' sign, the local business park here is booming to the detriment of nearby Greenock's mall, high rents, internet shopping, the big supermarkets are killing local business.
Almost all that's left is bookies, pubs, charity shops and fast food outlets.

Evening all:hello:

welsh dragon

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

to make up we now have a B&M (sounds kinky), an Aldi and Lidl, class shops:okay:
Where I parked in Perth there is a big B & M,s and I noticed a guy coming out with a large tin of cuprinol type stuff for treating a fence or shed, etc. I was tempted to go and ask him if they were cheaper than the likes of B & Q, Homebase, etc. It seemed quite busy.
