Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Morning all.

You may remember that I am just returning to cycling after 2 and a half years off my bike. I am gradually building up the miles, with lots of little rides, typically between 10 and 20 miles. Yesterday afternoon I got myself ready to go out for a 20 miler, and it started pee-ing down (yay!!! did we ever need that......), so I sat in my kit waiting for it to stop, and therefore didn't get out until 5.30 or so. I thought I knew the route, but I must have missed a turn somewhere. I only had a rear light, and with an overcast sky it was getting dark early, so I couldn't bimble along as I had planned. I had to get back before dark. Anyway, long story short, I ended up doing 38 miles........nothing at all when you're fit, but I'm only just getting back into this, so I'm not....... and I'll even admit to stopping on the last hill. I was absolutely cream crackered afterwards, and walking downstairs this morning was something of a trial.

Ho hum......I survived, and it will have done my fitness some good. Today I am starting to put the slates on my workshop roof (if I can climb the ladder!!!), a roof I built 2 and a half years ago! I hope you all have a nice day. I won't be around until this evening.

Well done Mike. Much kudos to you. Oh and good morning.

And good morning to one and all:hello:

And if we don't hear from you, you're stuck. Either on the roof or the ladder!

So if I said that I was wearing my jodhpurs and recently returned from a gymkhana I would be in big bother then?
Well, if that was all wouldn't you expect it?
