I think Apple gear is good,
Android is the Wild West,
I used to build my own apps for basic stuff like website shortcuts but it's got a bit too techy for me,
Apple control what's allowed (which TBH is a good thing).

Mrs B has now started wandering around in the night so sleep will become a bigger problem than usual. I suppose I'll have to start hiding the door keys so that she can't get out at night. I hope her dementia doesn't progress too quickly.

That's the hard thing. I'm knackered trying to keep her happy and untangle her errors whilst my already poor sleeping pattern has gone to hell in a basket. Still, I seem to be keeping her happy & right and I have a lot of stamina as a result of the athletic lifestyle I've led for most of my life. However, I'm now going down with a sore throat and no doubt that's because of the stress, tiredness and worry of it all. The problem is that no-one tells you what to do or how to cope so it's a steep learning curve. Oh well, enough of my moaning! Sorry to hear about your problems @Blue.
My mum had dementia and unfortunately the experiences we had dealing with it till she passed away were awful.
I know where you are coming from regarding lack of information and help etc. I could fill pages about banging my head against walls my anger with the so called social services and various other organisations.
Try and be strong but sorry to sound negative it will be tough.

Got a 52 mile bimble in but got caught out 15 miles from home by the lovely wet stuff.
Home covered in crap and filthy bike
Kit in washing machine me in bath I think then hopefully if it dries this afternoon a clean of the bike
