I heard on the news the other day that Scotland has been inundated with a plague of midges this year, even more than usual.

The glen I was heading up through is notorious for the curse..(Glen Masson)
and a forest track like this one was alive with them and clegs (horseflies?), ticks are also a big problem. Just over a 1.5 mile trek up through the trees, a relief to hit a breeze once on open ground..
mind you I was sweltered in that gear
It worked...

Tea is horrible muck as far as I am concerned. . I am a coffee drinker. For me, all tea is nasty no matter where you get it.

Morning all, having just got back from holiday having spent some of the time drinking Liptons yellow label tea until I got to the shop and bought Typhoo, can I ask if there is a worse tea on the market, and why do hotels, and cafes on the continent sell possibly the worst tea available? Or is it just me?

Ayup, another stranger in town.

There's worse, by far. And as Bob said, it's often more to do with the water than the actual tea. Or as someone said, coffee.
Try getting an all metal kettle instead of a plastic one. You'll notice the difference on the first cup.

I crossed the Border into Cumbria, and returned to South Gloucestershire on Sunday, only to spend monday evening in Cornwall, back again today though, hoping to stay still for a little while now....
