Ta very much. Had a lovely bar lunch with brother and sister-in-law in The Kirkstyle Inn in Dunning. Highly recommended if you are ever over that way.

The keyboard is German, but whenever I shut it down Win 10 defaults to an English language Keyboard. Win 7 could handle the idea of a German keyboard with an English OS but 10 freaks out at such crazy multilingual internationalism and has to be reminded every time I turn it on.

That's progress I suppose.

If you mean what does it say in the bottom right corner, the automatic default is "ENG" but "Alt+Space" fortunately changes that to "DEU". I just have to remember, which I generally don't, hence Edits.

Unfortunately it doesn't solve the core issue: I keep forgetting to change it when I turn the laptop on...
