Can't bend brass:laugh:
You can. It's bending it back the same way, without damage, is the hard part

Morning all:hello:

12 months today, I was told by the Building Society lady I was homeless..
I was for a week due to moving..
almost a year in here, scary:ohmy:
Morning all :hello:

That sounds like the opposite to me - I'll have two homes for a couple of weeks at the minimum, longer if our sale collapses! I'm not sure how that ties in with the current stamp duty rules for us - no doubt the solicitor will keep me right.

We've had sun this morning but it's decided to hide behind a lot of cloud for the moment!

Ayup

How'd you do on Saturday?

What killed the cat question.
Would you be allowed to rent out the one your moving from whilst it were empty. Just thinking security wise.

We've the sun as well, but the wind wanted out as well.

Afternoon??

Now you have me thinking, what was I supposed to be doing on Saturday??

As to renting - not allowed. That said, security isn't a worry as it's 1st floor with a communal main door(intercom system for access) before our door is reached. We used to go away for the winters and never worried.

You mean you weren't sat in front of the telly, watching the draw?

Fair enough on the security side. Empty properties attract unwanted attention.

Oh, I'd forgotten about that - so you can guess how we did.

We have a second home premium thing here, I'd have had to pony up an extra five figure sum which was reclaimable back if I'd have moved in (bought fully) on say the 12th Dec last year, our buyers and I had agreed 12th Dec was the day so we shacked up at our youngest's house for a week, we paid the house balance once it had got its pass certificate (I can't remember their posh names), we had a clown impersonating a paralegal and things would have been easier if they'd done their work ...

An excuse for a drink?
I found something I lost earlier so that's my excuse for tonight:laugh:
Being alive is a standby:laugh:

I'd cycled up through the local wood and had put my handheld radio in the saddlebag side pouch, I had been talking to Beag as I left and hadn't securely put the antenna on the thread.. it started to rain as I left and thought best stop and zip pocket shut where I then put the antenna in bag main part..
I never and after I had skidded through mud etc, down an awfy bumpy path, got to just under three miles, I noticed no antenna so I reversed the journey slowly checking as I cycled upwards, couldn't see it.
I just headed back home and had a bite to eat and headed out by foot, one and a half mile later, there it was at the side of the rough track, dark black mud, black plastic antenna, I was elated as there are so many fake copies of this Chinese antenna even some online shops have stopped selling them, I'd did a online chat with my man in HK I have bought the original in the past from..
Phew..
Afternoon slowly disappearing..
FYI antenna is thin, roughly 38cm long:ohmy:

Our system is the same as in England. Whilst we so have our own legal system here it has, in the main, followed English law in all things. When we were issued with our initial paperwork by the solicitor I noticed that it made a point of stating that our case would be handled by the solicitor alone as they don't use any paralegal staff. The stamp duty will be £5-6k if I have to pay but I can claim that back if my sale completes within 3 years and the solicitor did say that HMRC pay within a couple of weeks of a claim. It would be easier if I don't have to bother as we need a lot of work done and I'd like to get on with appointing contractors.

Young in with his own radio set, you spoil him.

You were lucky.

Can you not get a genuine Chinese copy replacement?
