Why bother, I never listen to myself..
It's more fun not listening..

I got a few things sorted today.

I have a completion date for my sale and the solicitor hopes to ring again in the morning with confirmation that I can pick up the keys for our purchase. I'll be packing all the cleaning materials this evening so that I can bring them over as soon as I get the keys.

I arranged house insurance to take effect from tomorrow, with contents to be shared between the two properties until the final move. Just have to remember to read the electric and gas meters tomorrow so that I can do that swop - and then read my own meters as we leave here in a couple of weeks time.

We got our keys a year ago tomorrow...
(it was Thursday though),
gas, electricity?
Jeez, that has been along drawn out carry-on...
British (ha-ha) Gas are getting bumped asap,
I usually leave it to the Boss but I thought, I'll catch this...
Strange year..

It'll be a curry tonight but I imagine we'll have more than one fish supper each over the next couple of weeks - as luck would have it there's a good chippy beside the shop where we've been getting our Saturday paper recently (our new local shops).

Waiting for a phone call!! I hope the weather improves before I have to go to the solicitors as it's pretty grim at the moment.

Yes, I must slow down as I'm getting . The new lockdown that's coming our way doesn't help as it creates an air of panic.

Maybe I'll find another stash(like the Euro I found), however, I doubt it.

Wet and overcast here. Was wet, windy and overcast last night/earlier this morning. The wind has gone, for now.

Yes, the phone has rung and we are now proud owners of the bungalow. I'm just waiting for the rain to ease before I go and fetch the keys. Meanwhile I've started contacting the various contractors so that I can get some quotes/dates for the top priority work.

After Xmas we're going into a strict lockdown similar to the one last March/April etc. It's due to be 6 weeks but with a review after 4 weeks. The first week has a near curfew from 8pm.

The NHS has been swamped but that's got a lot to do with the way it has been underfunded etc for decades so it can't cope with the extra pressure from Covid-19. In our area we have had just 128 cases in the last 7 days and the rate per 100k is just 79.6 but we are being hammered along with the rest of NI where the overall rate per 100k is 187.6.

House moves that were in the system were allowed in the first lockdown so I hope it's the same again.

I've just been out collecting the keys and took a drooking while I was at it. Having a didn't help much because it was so windy. I'm glad we aren't actually doing the move today!
