I often sing in Greek so I think that'll be enough to get them wondering!!
Greek, with a local accent.
Wait whilst sunnier weather arrives and give a garden performance.

Fog cleared here to give a clear sky around three. Too late for spotting Saturn & Jupiter passing each other though.

When it comes to using the boxes for a second time, can you not put stuff from/for the same room(s) in the same boxes.
Basically, that's what I'm doing with the boxes but I'm just being cautious with not overfilling so I have a situation where heavy objects like books, CD's, DVD's etc., (we have a lot of these), are spread around a few boxes so can be combined into 1 at destination. We won't have any free standing wardrobes but that box room we cleaned has a small built-in 'robe and I can stuff some clothes etc in there. I'm just trying to manage with the boxes I already have.

We have a lot of pictures, prints and art work hanging on the walls and I think I'll leave them up until after Xmas and then move them carefully.

I don't want to make the place look too unusual as that is likely to generate anxiety and/or confusion with Mrs B. In all things I have to keep her at the front of my mind as any meltdown wouldn't be good for her and would complicate matters for both of us.

Covid doesn't help as I would have called on my son for an assist in normal times but don't want to trouble him now as he's in a medical grade position in the labs of a major Belfast hospital and I'm sure he's busy.

That reminds me of an evening in Limassol 3-4 years back. I had sung a few songs in Greek and I was approached by a Frenchman who said that he had noted the accent and wanted to let me know that I sounded just like a famous Breton folk singer. I can't recall the name of the singer, although I may have it noted somewhere. May look up a video if I find the name.

Anyway, time to shift out.:hello:

I've got some DVD's, three of them. Nothing to play them on, but I have them.
I have hundreds of DVD's and CD's. Hundreds of LP's too.

The old LP's can be handy as I have many original covers in mint condition and, back when I was racing, I was able to barter with a partner in the LBS for tyres etc - he was a huge fan of Led Zep and wanted the LP's to frame and hang on his wall at home.

One of my pride LP's is a copy of the original Pink Floyd 'A Nice Pair'. It was recalled from the shops because of a complaint about a photograph on the cover so only a limited number were sold before the recall and change. My copy is in prime condition.

You can leave the empty ones with the rest, as though they've still got something in them. If that can help.
I got another box run done and am now back at the apartment with a load of empty, but made up, boxes. We'll be able to pack more this evening.

I also got to speak to the neighbours on the other side of us - yet again, they seem like nice people. Indeed, got to speak to the folks on both sides of us and I now know about ownership of the fences and can proceed with some planned replacement there in due course.

The fencing arrangement on the kitchen side of ours is unusual and every time we visited Mrs B asked about it - I now know the answer. Turns out that when fencing work was required years back the lady that owned ours 'went to war' over the matter so that the neighbour was forced to build a new fence inside his property and this, in effect, ceded a couple of feet to us(I'll use it as an area for shrubs/flowers to improve the view out the kitchen window. When I assured the folks they wouldn't get any war from me they said the same for them and I think that was a good start to relations.

When we pulled up with the last load of boxes a neighbour from across the way gave us a wave and a cheery bit of chat - something we've never experienced where we are now. It really does make you feel that we are 'home'. Very happy.^_^

You'll go back and the fence will have been moved back to the boundary!

At least they're "sounding you out". No noisy parties going on into the wee small hours, cars pulling up at all hours(You have stopped your nocturnal visits, haven't you!).

We'd similar with the owner of the house behind us, fence wise. Replacing the fence, I cut back an overgrown unknown and then worked from corner boundary post to boundary post. He wasn't happy, I "killed his greenhouse"?

Replaced because of his dogs wandering through. He'd a choice, the fence went up or the dogs went.

I wouldn't worry about the fence as it would stop Mrs B asking why it doesn't look right.

We'll be dropping in tonight on the way to Tesco, Noisy house parties - never had one; can't even recall ever being to one! A noisy film on a Saturday night is our limit but, being detached, I doubt that they'll hear that.

You'd loose your planned planting area. Although that would be one thing less to bother about. Along with your noisy late night parties you don't have.
