'Morning all :hello:

Random video for today is a number, written by Stephen Stills and featuring Neil Young, that I used to sing at karaoke

Ah, the days of the Byrds, Crosby, Stills, Nash and later Young, the Band et all..
and not forgetting the amazing Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, who get an airing most days:laugh:
One of my top 5 fave songs of all time

I've tried hard to live up to the song title since a teenager (and how many times have I seen Easy Rider?)
I even had the suede jacket..
always wanted to ride across the States..
I did eventually become a biker though^_^

Harness too tight?

Has he had his jabs though!
Let's not forget there's very few flights being allowed out of the UK at present. Not many coming in either.

You an "easy rider", never.

Yeah, I'm with you on 'Wasn't born to follow'. I loved all that music too. I used to ride a m'cycle but not because of Easy Rider, more because I did first aid duty with the St John Ambulance at all the m'cycle road and circuit races for quite a few years and just had to have a bike of my own because I loved the racing so much. This time of year was rough on the bike.

No rain but no sun and very cold with a really stiff wind. :cold:

Got another box run and a little bit of cleaning done earlier. Maybe get more shifted from one garage to the other later.
You got any hint of snow, low down, over there?

Still damp here, hovering around the 5°C mark, temperature wise. Too warm for snow here.

It's cold and the gritters are out but no snow yet. I didn't get a chance to look at the hills opposite. Nothing in the forecast.

Found a full dinner set in the new house - the top side plate had a tough layer of grime and the rest of the set had the same on the edges. It seems to be a set to celebrate the 100th year of the makers in 1951. I meant to bring a plate home to research it but I forgot and I can't remember the name on the plate but it may have been JG Meakin. I suppose that if the set is complete it may be worth £100-200.

Two of the bedrooms and the hall also have Tiffany lampshades and I had wondered why they were left until I tried to remove them. The light fittings were partly undone as if someone had had a go at them but the bottom fittings just weren't shifting. I managed to get one down and cleaned but gave up on the 2nd. I didn't try the 3rd as I ran out of time. I will try to remember to bring leather gloves over to see if they will give me better grip and enable me to get them off. They may be nice enough if cleaned.

There's a set, 1951 J. Meakin anniversary, on ebay at £120. You could be right.

Try screwing the fitting back in place, might be cross- threaded.

You checked under the floor boards!!

Yeah, that worked with the one I got off but didn't work with the 2nd. I think your right about being cross-threaded as that's what I thought too..

It did make me wonder what I may find when I lift the carpets and have a good look around the attic.

If you find old notes(money), willing to do a straight swap, or for what they're worth. Minimum face value.

Ni-Cd or NiMH battery?
£10.50 & £12.89 for the chargers.
Yeah, just been checking for the chargers. I'll have to check the model details but a new machine is £70 so I don't know if the charger would be a good punt on a 2nd hand machine that may have a knackered battery pack.

Annoying thing is that I junked a lot of old chargers last spring and one of them may have fitted.
