Seen plenty of sunshine this month,
my wx station doesn't measure sunshine but I'd imagine a good month,
I got hit by a short hailstone shower yesterday with the toatiest of hail.
I was going through a wooded area so sheltered most of the way..
total rainfall so far is 4.82 mm

We'd snow and hail yesterday, before midday. Didn't amount to much.
Is the 4.82 mm of rain a daily or monthly figure. Monthly, and you're headed for a hosepipe ban/water shortage.

Aye, expensive but pleasantly surprised..
had some in my teenage years ( a decade or two ago)
Think the Hemingway fave cocktail might be a stretch too far..
