Headset needs looked at, drive bits all maybe needing replaced and bottom bracket does need replaced.
Hauling my fat butt about takes its toll
Best doing it before any part fails...

Possibly, but that's the part they have you on.

You'd have had two bikes to keep on the road if you'd done that.
