Evening:ohmy:

Oops, had to change Morning to Evening..
a slight bloop..

Headed out and it was warm, muggy but found new paths^_^
Owdo
Only a slight one, maybe no-one noticed.

And more of the same again tomorrow, so they're saying.

Can you find these new paths again?

Been an odd sort of day...
Evening??

Still.
Incredible network of paths here, the ones I returned from the Kelpies I've used quite a few times but I reversed it last time and was all over the place..
I thought of a quick trip through California today but I chose a long downhill:laugh:
I've replaced the lost fluids^_^

Still what?

How long have you been there, and you're still finding your way about. You went to the Kelpies, how'd you get back.

You improving yer freewheeling.

Got to keep those fluid levels up. You're 72% water anyway.

Jeez, 20 months..
doesn't seem like it although I have been 'touring' the area on a bike since '17.
I normally use the path system as the canal footpath can be pretty busy plus it's a headwind with the prevailing wind, more than a few other choices..
In yesterday's bright sunshine it had plenty shady bits^_^

Up and at 'em(your chores) early today. Is that a good sign or a bad sign.
Don't feed them too much, they'll get fat.

That long and yer still getting to know the area. Round here, it's the highway or no way. Five miles to the nearest canal towpath.

Morning??

Lucky you.
Half of the trip would be downhill going, 3/4's of it coming back.
A road with endless junctions, leaving you wondering which way to turn next, or dowhill and fast?

Late ripening, mid July.

It's your birthday?

Nah, a couple of months to go...
It isn't a bad return with the last .7 all downhill with a roundabout to turn right with an awkward drain cover though, the initial .7 out isn't bad but would be much easier after a few minutes before instead of straight off but its compensated by the finish.
I love just doing random decisions at crossroads:cuppa:

Thought it was in the darker months.
I've an uphill return, unless I take the longer way, another two miles and 300 feet higher, to get a downhill finish of 200 feet.
"Fried Eggs" are the choice round here, very few cross roads left.
Try the old military way of route finding, left, right, left, right, and see where you end up. Can also be used with T-Junctions.

You believe in living dangerously, route wise.

I'll take what I have now,
last place was just under 500ft ASL so no matter what it was an uphill finish although local cycle track made life much easier...
Tons of those things here, I think most car drivers can't handle them.

Thought you were lower than 500 feet at the old place.

Very few cycle routes/paths round these parts. And those that do exist aren't well thought out. "The best one" takes you past a local drug user site, via a 50° stair set just wide enough to walk down.

Most just ignore them round here, not uncommon to meet someone coming the other way on the wrong side having gone the short way round.

Not by much, more nearer 500 than 450..

Area and the surrounding parts have a good network, no doubt dodgy sections but haven't come across anything during the day (Yet)

Tip for the evening,,

Whenever you're walking to your car, before you get inside, always check your back seat and be aware of your surroundings. In case someone is hiding, preparing to kidnap you.

That's why I cycle, just in case....take care out there...

I'd put you a lot closer to sea level than that. Why or how I don't know.

If it keeps you cycling, then they can only be good for you. Go for it.

I'm safe, I don't have a car. No backseat to check before I get in.

I cycle because I want to, annoys hell out of some folk though. Especially the quad.
