Hoots mon:hello:
Yellow warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms possible..
More needed is some fresh, clear air bowing through...
Off to prepare for the hurricane that is Beag

'Taps aff' is normally around -10c:laugh:
They ask for nay a groat or bawbee:cuppa:
even the car park is free (after 6 anyway), if it was the Lakes or Snowdonia etc, it'd be 8 quid or above, minimum.
Owdo
Don't think it'll hang around long. We had rain around half seven(kids going to school), it's drying out already.
Even a slight breeze would help.
That's your day sorted for you. "Fall asleep" just as he arrives.

Asking and getting are two different things. Free parking, I don't believe.
The Welsh are devious, they say it's a donation, not a payment. Make you feel guilty for giving nothing.

Enjoy yer day!

I remember the car park at the top of the pass that opens up other routes up Snowdon being expensive..
we couldn't afford it

Standard rates:
8 hrs - £18
8-12hrs - £25
12-24hrs - £40
Opening hours: 24 hrs.

Think it was 20 quid eight years ago..

Windsor was another one I remember,
we got parked on a cleared demolition site for half the price..
as for the Lakes where everything is named after a poet who wandered freely as a cloud..

Always seem to be there last thing at night or early morning, before the larks rise.

You headed down there, today, with the young un!
Should keep him amused, and ensure he sleeps tonight.

They have you by the short and curlies once your there.

Wish I could be in NW today^_^

We'd someone drop us off...
we took the Llanberis path back down..
missed the finish of the tour of Britain stage:sad:
We had intended the hill on the day before but WX wasn't the best..

It's wet down there at present, more due tonight.

Which path up?
No catch up available.
Always better to stay down if the weather isn't the best.

The Miners track, I wanted to do the Pyg track but hey ho...
yep, would have been good to have seen the finish as we'd made the Thurs aft left free to watch but wet day on our first day and a quick visit to what was Wales's newest mountain, Tal Y Fan in the pouring rain..
gw7gax-tal-y-fan.jpg

Tue.. above, ah look drookit
Wed - Snowdon - somewhat dry, somewhat drizzly and windy as 'eck
Thu - the impressive sounding Holyhead Mountain in blue skies..
(I'd turned 60 on the Sunday)
I somehow had it in my mind the Tour stage was a Thur but it was a Wed and highlights are on YouTube..

I've got to the top via various routes.

Happy 60th for Sunday gone by the way

sadly it was almost 8 years ago, well, 7 years and 359 days ago (approx)
It's the thought that counts.

Said those Welsh were devious, building new mountains. As if they don't have enough already.
Was it a hill when you went up?

Good morning fine people:hello:

The thing is there are more than a few Comrie toons in Alba...
I didn't cycle though...
Murky and very muggy here.....presumably similar with you?

Out the door at 6.30 for my morning donder and was too warm for me. Very quiet apart from a lady jogger. Don't know how anyone can run in high humidity........not for me.
