No horses spotted...
One bloke giving a lusty rendition of something at the bus terminus but dunno what it was..
he did get a clap or two..
at that early time may be sauce induced.....
Trip to Wilko for tottie bags and other stuff but no bags..
so now reliant on elsewhere,
now got taters chitting..

settled tonight..
:cuppa:at hand
Were you watching for them?
You weren't able to join in then.
Think money may have been what he was after, not "a clap or two".
Sauce, at that time, up there!
Where do get them now, and what do you do if you can't get any.

Feet up, in front of the telly.

It used to be,
glad rags on, down for a lunchtime pint, back and watch Grandstand or World of Sport, the REAL trendy glad rags on, a few pints then

giphy.gif

Now?
, get up, breakfast, play radio, Off the Ball, watch cycling , check footy results, tea, watch banal stuff on't telly then maybe a few beers(or spirits) to anesthetize the brain and then retire gracefully..
the difference almost 50 years makes:laugh:

It is!
You'd not be pulling my leg, would you?

Take it you never "worked" Saturdays for the council then.
One pint, slow drinker then?
Grandstand, World Of Sport, there's nowt like those now unless you watch each sport on its own channel.
You could relive one of those days(nights) and see how you feel come Sunday.

Howabout breakfast in bed, save you getting up. Then do the rest from the comfort of the bed. It'd save you going back to bed as well.
Think anesthetizing the brain is required for most primetime telly these days. You'd not make it out otherwise.

The postman is gonna like you, "monstrous bags". He might drop one, or more, on you as a thank you.
Switch brain to neutral and just plough on till done, or the jobs complete.
You still got yer greenhouse?

I was referring to my pre-handcuffed state:laugh:
I preferred to work on a Sunday in my 'disco' days....
and now, in between I reckon I worked almost every Saturday (all day),
I worked every hour I could..
then four years before I retired (coming up for 6 years now:ohmy:),
I did the basic 37 hours and wondered why I didn't do it earlier....

Why don't the pair of you hit the floor. You could be Danny to her Sandy.
Was work actually possible after your Saturday night on the dance floor?

Double time on a Sunday though.

Wrong movie, wrong night!
Fair 'nough

You never know. Maybe Saturday night fever will morph into Sunday lurgy...

Alexa knows your secret playlist.
There's more than you gets lost on YouTube, songs/hits from their younger days.

I have a google one downstairs..
Mrs M didn't appreciate Disco Inferno at 7am the other day when I said Alexa instead of google:laugh:

Owdo
I'll let you have mine, if you don't mind.

You admit to watching football. How'd the afternoon rugby go. Besides back and forth.
You're not really selling these things. The one downstairs could hear what you said upstairs. Given they can't be turned off, they could be recording you singing in the shower.

Let you get on with yer sowing. The postman get yer bags through the letterbox yesterday?

They'll have cheated and used a sack cart or trolley.
A win is a win...
The peace been shattered?
Don't forget the "Young 'Un's" naughty seat, facing away from the telly.

No passport required then, injections?

A veggie KFC is opening for a month down south, everything is plant based, coffee included.
You're free McD's coffee?
You or your brekkie treat. Or both.
Similar down here. The rain they forecast never made it here.

Make the most of the calm before the storm then.
