It's Caturday

It used to be,
glad rags on, down for a lunchtime pint, back and watch Grandstand or World of Sport, the REAL trendy glad rags on, a few pints then

Now?
, get up, breakfast, play radio, Off the Ball, watch cycling , check footy results, tea, watch banal stuff on't telly then maybe a few beers(or spirits) to anesthetize the brain and then retire gracefully..
the difference almost 50 years makes

Think money may have been what he was after, not "a clap or two".

Where do get them now, and what do you do if you can't get any.

I was referring to my pre-handcuffed state
I preferred to work on a Sunday in my 'disco' days....
and now, in between I reckon I worked almost every Saturday (all day),
I worked every hour I could..
then four years before I retired (coming up for 6 years now),
I did the basic 37 hours and wondered why I didn't do it earlier....
