Early morning going on mid-day, you'll have fun when they arrive. You know you will...

No talking, by humans at least. The machines are taking over, and are planning their next move by radio!
Has there ever, to your knowledge, been an attack of a similar type often seen on the internet, over the radio network?

Does the theory hold up in practice?
Nothing is ever as easy as folk try to convince you it is. I'll believe you.
I know that the "simple" choices of frequency and antenna length isn't as simple as it first seems.

Various 'data' modes have been in use for quite awhile now...
More automated now, I can work my station remotely...
I prefer being at the radio instead of just setting it up to work automatically.
If you see my call, I'm at the desk in the 'Towers'.

The good thing about data is that it gives the little hitters a chance to work countries, on voice it sometimes comes down to the person with the best signal and power, I'm pretty well down the pecking order in that but I get my contacts eg China, Japan, Quatar and around EUR earlier this evening, I'm delighted with any contact but if I get DX (rumoured to be anything over 4000 kms away or outside EUR)

I got quite a few cans of alco ginger beer from a brewery based in Leeds, three letters, I can't remember the name, it will be chilled nicely for tomorrow evening... DMC I'm told....

From what you're posting, they're taking over the airwaves from the spoken word. You could just set yer computer to run it's own callsign, see how you do against it contact wise. It might take over your printer to print it's own address labels though.
Man versus machine, who would win?
You got many contacts over the 4,000 kilometre mark?

You came as far south as Leeds on one of yer early morning raids! How'd you manage to get so far south and back safely.
Those "few cans" you got, were they all you could fit in yer boot before being rumbled...
Hope you enjoy them, once chilled...

Yellow corresponds to the 17m band..
That is who 'spotted' me.
Radio hasn't been on yet..
You can set up a bot to run these programs, but I am not a user..As I said, 'You see me? I'm here.

No raid, Da day pressie..
Will test tonight...
I haven't seen this beer in the usual places...
Reet, a cold cider awaits.
Tough life but someone has to do it....

Ireland is hardly 4,000 kilometres away! At least one "spot" there. Along with another of the same colour in China.

No raid, that's good to know. Da Day present, they know what you might like.
Still chilling in the fridge. The beer, not you...
You had yer brekkie, and now apple juice...
True enough, just hope you don't run out in the warm weather forecast for the second halfof the month. That'd be a disaster...

I don't apply filters...so spots are from anywhere..
It's handy to know how propagation is running..

Back home and sated..

Been having a look at plug strips with USB sockets and saw some smart ones.
mmmmmm? I dunno.
Just give it 'Alexa switch socket one on'...
Would like to use the USBs to save using the computer to power a couple of items which run 24/7.
I dunno...

Not from where they're shown on that map?
Handy to know just how far and wide you're known.

No long arms from lugging stuff around...

Plug strips/sockets with USB sockets are starting to be sold cheaper now that USB-C has entered the market.
Try one and see how you go with one of them.
Thought Alexa had gone in your bad books?
Is the computer only providing the power or is there a data connection as well.
What have you to lose by trying one.

I run a weather program 24/7..
I have it running on one of the computers, my cubesat board runs on power supplied by USB cable from the same computer, so the plan is to try to get the program working on a Raspberry Pi and use one of the USB sockets on the plug thingy.
I use two power supplies, one for each radio. I normally just change plugs on the plug strip as all sockets are used, I go from a four to six socket one..I never run the two radios at the same time. It kinda makes sense. I'll think more over the next few days..
Had the first cherry off the tree, picked two, and we both had one, nice and sharp (it is a cooking cherry).
Finally strimmed the grass...

She(Alexa) is on 24/7 for futile information, handy for answering questions etc....
I never use Google, Mrs M knows everything, plus you can get an opinion
