Not much here since about four this morning either. There's a hosepipe ban here.
Well, if the big river place is putting itself forward as the market owner, not a stallholder, all fees should be payable to/through them. Not leaving their customers to sort it out.

Eastbound and down... The predetermined route chosen due to possible contact being made, or were the contacts by chance.
These "acks", were they a possibility of known contacts all along? You went over the bridge I presume, away from any interference with a little altitude thrown in?
Trying a new route you've not travelled before on yer next border incursion...

How'd you know it's not tomorrow, no brekkie...

Be handy if these online retailers would do this, at least you would know where you stand.
I bought a book a long time ago from the US (Spycatcher, remember it?)
I got hit for I can't remember how much..
If they only knew
Tried it again with a mounting bracket for a GPS for the bike, cost me a tenner(?)
I vowed then no mas, no mas...
Phoned up a radio shop in the early 80s regarding a radio, yes, it was cheap but the postage and taxes killed the idea, they were quite bemused I'd called from Scatland:laugh:...I got one off a pal that came in the back door....at mates rates, good lad.
They got delivered(allegedly) aboard a trawler from the IOM via Eire....
200 USD originally with how many adding a cut en route was the problem...
Funnily, you could own one but not use it...
Anyway I have the call..

I contacted one possible ACK sender, but nope, it wasn't him, he was the nearest showing in that area.
The maps don't seem to show every bit of traffic....
Oh well, my other bits have arrived in the UK, they did say 2nd July so possible....

Brekkie may go on hold....

Another week starts :hello:
Mondays never bothered me:cuppa:
For some odd reason, Thurs and Sat get me now.....
Carry on, lots of it:laugh:
Owdo, thought you were retired now...
Never bothered me either, even when they were the "last day" of the working week with Friday being the start.
Why should saturday get to you?
I will, a bit at least...

Don't they deal with it by saying something along the lines of import duties/taxes may be payable? Helpful to know you may have more to pay once it's sent.
How much cheaper was it over there, I remember the book... You still got the copy you paid for?
Was that a tenner on top of what you'd already paid, or total price.
I've taken parts bought cheaper over this side the Irish Sea, over in a rucksack more than once. Being hit with import duties always on my mind. Along with an explanation of what I'm doing with the items. Not yer standard holiday items, coming or going.
Little changes really, there's stuff today you can own but not use. Still...
Nature...

You'll find them...
One down, how many to go should you seek to find...
Always possible, but how likely. Maybe it's your turn this time.

Brekkie on hold! But you missed it yesterday when you thought it were today! Twice in a row is just unfair, almost unworkable...

Dunno, you couldn't but it here..
Had another wee tour about and eleven hits but still no idea who the heck ack'ed me, apparently folk using it have been clambering for it to be implemented.
I may have some other experiments to try soon...
I'll plod away...
I assume most folk will let them plod away without looking regularly...

Muggy night..

Similar reasons to myself for going to a shop over in New York. Parts not available here, and they were showing as having them in stock in the R/C magazines.
More hits and they won't identify themselves, that's a bit unfair.
When you say they"ack'ed" you, what is it they're actually guilty of? It's not something mainstream yet then?
You'll be building a lab soon with all this experimentation going on...
Best way, get there at your own speed.
Not doing anything "dodgy" are you, as you plod along.

Another close night indeed...

Good excuse for a trip...
(I don't fly now)

This is the last side project for the noo...
it can be mothballed and tried occasionally to see if any more uptake in 'nodes'...
I've got another board on its way, so I can play, can I see myself
Lying in big mail centre darn sarff I reckon.....

All monthly stuff done and in the cloud....
Busy Bob...
Today? not made my mind up...
Actually 'spoke' with someone on the radio yesterday.

Just back from the Shed..
first 'job' almost finished, a hole to bore then assemble....
Off for my lunch..
Forgot to press Send again

Slow boat.
We've airplanes now that'll do the hard work for you.

You see anything that might increase the traffic on yer new toy.
So you'll be trying various locations and seeing where you can "be found" by yourself.
Presumably what you're using at the base station records time and location of the hits.
It's probably lying in the former Robin Hood Airport distribution centre. See's more imports than most southern airports.

First of the month and everything completed! Yer doing well... Be warned anything falls from those clouds, I'll be blaming you.
It's been made up for you?
Spoke, as in actually exchanging words. That'll be something yer not used to.

All holes drilled and filled, with no mishaps, bar the one remaining hole.
You enjoying the shed?
Yer rushing too much, slow down and take things easier...

I'm popping in from 10 until 12, two days a week.
Lunch gets taken at 12 so I just head home, that's enough.
I'll catch it tomorrow...Then I have to find a bolt, a nut and four washers....and paint.
Good to get out and chat......

Another node got back from yesterday ,
switched it on when I got back home and it was waiting for me, I can guess where I got the original reply to my 'testing' call...
The node info was enough...
Good, that it is working, there are obviously a lot more nodes than those on the web maps....
fits in my shirt pocket....

More QSLs today, labels already printed..
So, post office tomorrow with a pile already waiting to be sent :cuppa:
been in touch with the bloke I'm doing the latest print for..
apparently the 'experts' he already deals with have adapted the problematic file so not my iffy printing although we knew it could be a problem with its sweeping curvatures, they flattened it so they could print without as many supports so hopefully get a copy of the file as i want one for myself (in a different colour....fancy the grey marble....the initial test print base is printing just now...

Just the two hours, twice a week. Sounds like yer doing community service or summat, only yer turning up for it. Coming and going as you please, so to speak.
You get let home in time for lunch, you don't get fed and watered there...
Do the nut and bolt have to fit one another? Four washers and paint, rather extravagant aren't you. What's wrong with a natural look to the wood.
Can't argue with you on that...

No homing nodes? You set them off into the big wide world, and then end up collecting them... Node racing, the new racing pigeon for those who don't want to have to keep the coop clean.
So you reckon you know who did it. You get anything for working it out.
Can just picture you being stopped by the police and explaining what you have in yer pockets. Nuts, bolts, washers and little electronic circuit boards and a list of "code" numbers...

You have a post office. None of these high street post boxes for you. Your dead posh...
His experts only do the design work, you do the iffy printing.
Is it as many parts as yer last project printed, or just the one larger piece. For yerself, that interesting!

I'm delighted with the main body..
Only blip was the rather fancy handle....
They print as well. I did offer to do any test stuff.
I have my copy now. Although I might do a different handle colour.
Think I may have to change the nozzle, oh boy

Node hunting?
Sitting here late afternoon, the Boss out..
Popped out on le bicyclette..
Oop the high bits, I tried 6 spots and 5 acks..
I think 3 were one I 'hit' the day before, but hey, antenna efficiency not known, I'll take that and got two position sends ack'ed..
Yeah, was wondering that.. moving along in't the car, hand out the window holding up the grey box and antenna skywards...
Sgt Lynch would be baffled....
but hey, good sign, must get the antenna tested for resonance, cracking take off out of the Forth estuary from those high spots, and there are higher spots further on, but must get legs up to some fitness, although no step downs on the steep bits, climbing up almost the whole way? I got to the junction, road to left closed, I had intended to go to the highest spot, then return down sweeping bends, etc, but just headed back down to home, 10.5 miles, so happy with the two things.

I have a fair bundle of cards to return and self-addressed envelopes to send as well, so I'd better dig deep:laugh:

1mm of precipitation, so far.

Two piece jobbie?
Who's copy got printed first, yours or his.
Nozzles awkward to change!

You took yer chance whilst the boss wasn't looking...
How high were these high bits you talk off...
Those three you think were the same as one the day before, do they all count. Or, is some creative record keeping required on your part.
Hope you were in't passenger seat whilst your hands were out the window, not the drivers.
He might have been. But he'd have got to the bottom of things before letting you go on yer way...
Not bad indeed for an of the moment experiment. Just the legs holding you back from higher things. There's some exo-skeleton legs out there now, for use by anyone. Only $999!
Maybe next time you're up that way, the whole road will be opened for you... Your tour dreams will happen, and you'll have a pedal free descent with the chance to practice your aero tucking as well.

They'll love you down the post office. I can see them now as they spot you walking in, deciding who gets to serve you. Have you thought of shorter pockets, save you digging as deep.

Ahead on the precipitation front, by about five times. Makes a change, you're usually well in't lead.
