I've a pal dossing overnight in his car in a mountainous area of Jockland...
roughing it for the weekend...nuts.
Nope, bad form in my opinion..
All it takes is a phone call early that morning and someone would take it, I get a text 24 hrs before with option to Cancel....
I was on a bus going to the previous location hospital and my phone goes, and told I had missed an appointment, I said I'm 12.00, nope, you are 11, I said somebody called me yesterday and changed it to 12, nope, if you appear you can't be seen, anyhow they had verified the change by text as well....
Lady at desk said I said you cant be seen, I showed her the text, take a seat I was told...oh boy.
I'm well over my regular Jan gas cost, well over...got to keep the girls warm.
Anyhow, kitchen work tomorrow, think I'm on kick board and cupboard handles....
Off and on here, although more off at present.
Slightly warmer round these parts, for now.
Supposed to plummet well below zero overnight, we'll see.

Similar thought on cancelling. Surprised you could cancel that close to the appointment. I tried to cancel one because of not being able to keep it, in A&E at the time. But it was a firm No. The sister on duty went down and had "words" with the department concerned.
Get a text, but no option to cancel it. Doesn't make sense, as you say, someone else could have/use it.
They can change it on the day, but the patient can't.
Sounds as though you might have upset those on reception, be careful...
Only another week of it left, you'll save next month compared to last year anyway.
Dunt all that running round, with you chasing, keep them warm enough?
