I'm waiting on Autumn appearing, I pulled some spuds tonight and nothing like lasy year but still enough for a boiling or two...

The shorter days, more time to slip over unnoticed in either direction. You'll be holding a harvest festival this year no doubt. Spuds any good, given these warm, dry spells we've been having?

Be careful what tha ses, they may pass it onto Border Patrol agents. Catch you as you try slipping in.

No hosepipe ban up those parts. If not why not...

the grandparents were exhausted
I had a videocall earlier and they were still going nuts....
we now have days to recover...

Top level clearance, to get into York. You mentioned you were from Scotland no doubt...
Cold comfort, but even the big growers have suffered, again. Spuds will likely be smaller and more expensive again this year. A bit late for a second crop intit.
They keep on forecasting heavy rain, but it never shows up. You'd be able to manage with watering cans, wouldn't you. Always a first time.

No rain mentioned in local forecasts, so who knows...

I'd have thought you'd be used to all weathers by now. Granted you might not have as much sunshine up there, but you'll have worked in it.

Out looking for decking oil stain type stuff, most places were out but I'd a money off so took advantage of it but we did one of our usual wee tours before heading home
One decking to do so think a late lunch first then prepare a couple of bits.
As long as it is done before the rain appears, I see the Mutt Off now declare less than 5% or rain every hour..
