The only disturbance was the ache in my left upper arm where in flu Enza, groan..

I'd throw away the papers then knock the door; I am afraid the giver of such delicacies has departed many moons ago.
I stopped work over 10 years ago, I can't see me going back, I did my time....

The chip roll would have been my 'tea' as I call it up here, I have called the evening meal, dinner.

I could have done with a hood but nothing would suffice, the scrawl of 'Jedi' on my forehead gave it all away, the young uns have never come across a jedi before, more toy story and others..I did look a mess and yes, it came off easily, phew.

I'm off as my presence is being required, out I go..
If that were the only disturbance, then you did well Young Bob... I'm hearing a few who get it every year complaining about this years. With it's close cousin In Flu Ence, nearby.

I never realised you were that taken with either. Knew you liked both, just not how much. Throwing the papers away indeed...
Maybe there's someone stepped up to the role, and even as we speak they await, with a box of Tunnocks Wafers/Teacakes for that knock. Were the door green do you remember.
Time served and punishment accepted, no more wafers/teacakes for you.

Nah dinner would have been had around mod-day/early afternoon. Tea would be early evening. Dinner in the evening/early night, would be a more formal meal. Probably had up in the posh end o'town.

Yer spent yer time explaining what you were to the Twins then. And what the word in yer forehead meant. Given yer earlier outburst, and what the Twins are into, can I suggest you go as Woody(Woodpecker) next year. They might be expecting Obi One Bob again.
You'd have had a few odd looks down the shops today if it took a bit to remove it fully.

Was that yer name being called or did you sense you were needed. Enjoy yer out and yer prowl of the middle ailses...

I'm not affected as much as i have been sometimes with these jabs, my left arm is okay TBH, now that tells people something about me.
Been a day, from a gentle days shopping to wondering why a cooker hood isn't working well, looks like a visit tomorrow(more likely Tues) to find a charcoal filter.
I'M RETIRED...I'm too old..
I got a call earlier, got a bread recipe for my new breadmaker, Bob delivered (someone seems to have flung out the instructions and recipe booklet..I can sell them mine if they want. I'll scan a page as I only make two types of loaf.
Time for alcohol, methinks.
May as well go chop some wood

I know a few who say the jab has no effect, but who aren't looking forward to this years. One of them seriously into his workouts. His wife is ribbing him something rotten for it.
Jab in left arm, means yer right-handed, am I correct?
You were exploring central aisles this morning, then more shopping, albeit online this afternoon. I think you just enjoy shopping...
Replacement filter set, not just the charcoal, required.
Yer never too old to go shopping for replacement filters.
You got a call from yer breadmaker!
I knew living in a house of interconnected appliances would bring its problems. Why you threw the book away, only you can answer. Maybe you thought it wouldn't be needed again.
Will yer fridge be the next thing to call you, maybe the toaster will call you in the morning.
Edible and inedible?
Were it time...
Keep the home fires burning...
Then put yer feet up in front of one of them.

It's been lack of maintenance of course,

It's the newer one than mine,

Funny thing, there seems to be no perfect toaster for bread sizes in the UK..(unless I missed it)
Cut short, told get my erchie in gear to head out, see ya

Lack of maintenance led to a flu jab! Blimey, I thought they gave them only for prevention purposes.
Well if it stops you falling apart, a look can't hurt.

Newer than yours that you threw away.
You might find some of these "newer recipes" aren't exactly new. Many older, regional recipes have been gathered up, then presented to a new audience to read, and ponder.
I've taken a piece of card, cut to the size and shape of a slice of bread, to shops, when trying to get a replacement, non seem to accept it without missing part.
New orders issued, have fun. And remember yer left arm isn't up to scratch yet, we couldn't afford the extra...

I'm falling apart, age is finally getting me..
Yeah, old guff as new, I used it mostly for basic white loaf, 50/50 loaf, fruit loaf and the odd dough mixing session.
Saves manual work
Like the soup maker I use, Mrs M inerited her skills but I use a soup maker and even she says saves all the chopping, stirring etc etc.

Anyway back after a cross coutry trip to the Living of Ston, a worthwhile but not productive journey, if that is possible.
GC was involved but hot hot drink etc.
Temp dipped to minus 0.1c earlier, a waste of effort just to ger below freezing
Low winter sun a bit of a pest in places, blinding but hey! it's better than the white stuff falling.
Not feeling it today, been a grumpy sod...

Time for lunch or confusingly, what I call dinner...
I mean, what is so simple, design a toaster to take four slices of UK (average) bread then design round that.
It beggars belief...
Just ask that land across the sea for 500,00 units of wrong size toasters much cheaper..
They will build to your design..lazy businesses..
Enough grumping for the day, I'M GOING TO HIT MYSELF WITH THE HAPPY STICK

Check the car, there may be pieces in there... Yer not running quick enough, that's yer problem.
Old guff and regional recipes from other parts of this island, rehashed and presented to another audience. Nowt new really.
Any nuts in yer fruit loaf? Why ain't you doing those things by hand, helps keep the movement in yer fingers...
Tha bought a soup maker to replace Mrs M's creations, and she let yer keep it!

It got you out of the house if nothing else. See the countryside, that sorta thing.
You had curry in yer coffee! Still no tree found by Mrs M, that she likes the look of.
You could have nipped just outside the door and found that out, then gone back inside.
It'll be setting soon up near you as well. There'll be white stuff yet, you'll see. I mean the Mutt Office experts haven't mentioned it, so it'll turn up unexpected.
A bit under the weather, Spring'll sort you out, if it arrives...

Dinner dear boy, middle of the day, eaten at home or else in a place set aside for eating. Lunch is what you have when you take it with you to eat as you go, or buy for the same purpose.
Watchdog(Ann Robinson again) tested this out and found only one that would take a standard size slice of bread a few years ago. If I remember correctly it's no longer on the market.
It does, but the toaster manufacturers blame the bread producers.
You mean the land to the west, theirs are smaller still. The land to the east probably would make you 500,000 to suit your requirements, But can you imagine the delivery bloke turning up with them all at once. At your address!
Careful with that stick, you'll have someone's eye out if yer not careful.

Running? the only thing that runs is my nose at times
Nut, no nuts..I suppose you could flake some walnuts if needed.
These soup makers lots of time and work, 21 mins for a smooth loup de loup? ye canna whack it
There are some soups made the old way, I'm spoiled, excellent soup either way.

The best toaster we ever had was an As Da one and then it had a recall well down the line, wasn't perfect but consistent colour of toast, replaced with the one we have now, all over the place with shades. I love toast with a passion.

Talking about ordering from somewhere, I had a tour of a brewery, and it was explained that the canning procedure going on was an order from a buyer brewed to their specification and their lorry would turn up and go deliver said product to those who had bought. No premises just an office in someone's house, had it all sold and ready to go, best way to do it.

Bluey and Woody have been sandpapered, then glued where needed and are sitting whilst it sets, super job, I hope.
I now have to find a space for them.

We still do breakfast and supper at the right times, but I've always called the other two that, too old to change now. It could be tiffin time, old chap.

Saw the news earlier and boy, Chuck was bealing at nobody giving him a brolly, quite right, get them beheaded for subordination.

Time to settle for the evening.
I shall log at my leisure.

So long as you can keep up with yer nose, you shouldn't have too much trouble. I catch owt now, from your posts...
No nuts in a fruit cake/loaf... And it'd be no good me flaking walnuts or anything else for that matter. Yer cake/loaf would be baked and eaten by the time the flaked walnuts got to you.
Well, if it's as good as yer making out(20 minutes to make a soup, from scratch) you whack it you'll quite possibly break it. Then it's no good to man nor beast.
Then you'd be back to tinned or having them made the old fashioned way.

Got a catering one, did multiple things, slice of bread upto tea cakes. Then someone spilt water on it, and water and electric do not mix very well. I came home, it were gone, replaced by a cheap one from argos. Top inch of the slice stuck out the top, useless...
They all seem to vary across the slice. Hotspots or poor design passed off as a top of the range model!
It's not a passion that could end in tears is it.

Did they let you taste any of their produce, as you made yer way round on the tour. Or you decided on swimming lessons for yerself.
Not really sold on this "just in time manufacturing", one small problem and it can all come to a grinding halt. Case in question, might have meant those on the tour pitching in to avoid wastage.

Woody?, you doing Jesse next?
No problems with the glue this time?
No room for them, howabout building an extension to "your room"...

That's good to hear, still some hope for you yet. Still can't work out how you get lunch and dinner mixed up.. Tiffin, you've time fer tiffin!

A bit of rain can't hurt most folk, he'd have survived. A bit damp, but he'd have survived. Every man and woman for themselves in them conditions.

Trying to get my stomach to settle for the night. Some odd noises from down there to go with the rumbles.
You don't have any time fer leisure, do you...

Three folk want to wave Hi!
unnamed.jpg

Used El Sticko stuff...
Bad light to have taken the photo tbh.
Trust me they look great in real life and they are mie

Trust me, my hairy bikers soupmaker is the bee's knees (also massively badge engineered), I think half of them on sale were this model) and it was a 50% off steal...
Not a Toy Story fan, plus probably need more colours and tbh bought enough lately.
Surprisingly the glue took a few mins to set, around 10 mins. I did a few bits then left to do something and repeat.
Didn't need to glue everything, tolerances were excellent all over and could have got away with more, no gaping differences.
There is a layer line thing I can try but it may affect the initial pieces so maybe next model.

Have to say my old breadmaker does the bizzo,
all down to freshness of yer yeast I think plus if it says 3/4 tsp, I give it one and everything is measured to the gram.
A terror descends on us today,
better go clear the decks....

Good morning, all :hello:
Think an easy day, poodling in the Bob garden of eden..
I would have said the hanging ones but it's flattish and no, that big
Enjoy your day:cuppa:
Owdo
Think you might be thinking again later on about an easy day, poodling in yer Garden of Eden.
Babylon! Hanging gardens would take up so little ground space, and could be done on so a few levels... Increase yer garden growing area with no expense on existing ground space.
I'll try, promise...
