Saw an oldish bloke ride by yesterday in full OPQS kit. Just checked it out on their website. Gosh it's expensive. I suppose it's like Man U gear; the fans will pay anything to wear it?

If he's willing to pay for it then fair play to him.

Pay anything? That's a bit of a bizarre jump in logic.

I can never get my head round these sort of posts. If he's a millionaire is £200 too much?

Personally I have never felt the need to seek some spurious association with a sports person or team. To me it seems slightly odd. But then again, looking at the number of "Wayne Rooney" associates you see in pubs around here on Saturdays, perhaps I'm the odd one out?

I don't see anything wrong with following a team. I don't own any team cycling tops (apart from my Fridays jersey) but I do own some obscure team shorts that were good quality but ridiculously cheap. I also own 3 London Irish rugby tops, 3 Munster rugby tops and I've honestly no idea how many Liverpool tops I have kicking around. Oh and a St Helens rugby league top and a Limerick hurling top.

Surely there's a difference between being on a bike in team kit and wearing a Rooney football shirt when out on the lash!

Personally I don't wear team kit on the bike although I do have a cool Duvel beer jersey.
