I heard that team sky's new kit is being released in January, but is that just for the team or can the public buy it to.

Rapha are being cagey at the minute, "out of respect" to Adidas. I'd imagine an unveiling in January, followed by going on sale a month or so later. The big question will be wether they're priced in line with their limited edition Etape jerseys (£50) or their current Rapha-Condor-Sharp pro team jerseys (£140).

Surely they won't charge joe public £140 when Adidas was half that, I was looking forward to being able to fit in proper gear for the first time, but at that price they can forget it.

Team replicas are normally about the £40-60 mark yeah, I'd imagine the economy of scale would drive the price down a bit. Those Condor-Sharp kits have a mix of a few types of fabric, licenced from various manufacturers no doubt, and features like Coldblack dye, plus they have the fund the team somehow. Most replica kits don't go that far, usually a bit of nylon with the logos printed on is enough.

They're doing a full range - not just cycling kit but polo shirts etc too. I expect there will be something affordable among that lot, even if it's just a keyring.

There may be a replica top which is a bit cheaper and team issue gear which will be more like the rapha condor sharp pricing. (the other brands do this too but most shops dont stock the team issue)

A sock. Then another one the following year. As long as you don't expect to be able to feed yourself for 6 months.

Personally I love my Rapha gear, its the best cycling gear I own. In my opinion you can't beat it, thats why I've bought more than one item.

Oh my god are you even real or some new advanced prototype trollbot sent from the future? I've seen you get offended by someone in another thread making assumptions about you recently (re: Snowdon), and I backed you up on that - but when it comes to Rapha you go right on and make similar assumptions because someone has a bit of kit from, shock horror, a particular cycle clothing manufacturer. What are you even doing in this thread anyway?
