Remember that drawn out argument about using the rear brake on downhills while signalling right?

Here's the good man at Cycling weekly telling the readers it is safer to use the rear brake when drinking while rolling downhill.

Whether it is handling a bidon or signalling with the right hand, the rear brake is preferable.

That's why the rear brake in the UK is on the left handlebar.

My brake levers allow me to modulate the braking effect, this guy must have on/off switches!

Presumably the manufacturers and most of the peleton have got it wrong then. :rolleyes:

Cycling Weekly has gone down the pan in the last few years. I gave up buying it when I started to question whether some of the staff writers had ever been on anything more than a BSO from Argos.
