I am a bit skeptical about 50% H2O2 as that is not far off rocket fuel (strictly speaking oxidiser) and would set light to most organic materials on contact as well as a significant risk of decomposing into steam and oxygen. OK the wartime rocket powered Messerschmidt used 80%+ but that dissolved / set light to the pilots and was incredibly dangerous

Yes - that was a very effective fuel
until it ran out - which was pretty quick!

we did use it when I was doing Chemistry at University - but even then it was one of the things we had to get out for a specific experiment

concentrated acid and alkali were just on top of the benches and we used them to clean beakers

Someone on Jeremy Vine today who runs a teeth whitening business said that she had a visit from a rep who was offering whitener that was stronger than the law allows, and when she pointed it out he just said "so what, don't tell the customers".

The owner of the retro clothing shop I work in kept going on about someone he knew who'd had his teeth whitened so much that they dazzled him. He kept referring to them as turkey teeth. Me not catching on thought 'What's he on about? Turkeys don't have teeth'!!🤔 Then after a few weeks of him going on about it, the penny dropped, telling me he meant the fellow had been to Turkey to have his teeth whitened, not he had teeth like a turkey!😏 😉

That's the one. TBH I just couldn't think of it.
Confession time.
That was in this house when we bought it in 1982. It was also in the downstairs we.
We quickly got rid but got another coloured suite.....this time pale pink.
As soon as we could afford it we changed to all white.

Just look at almost every male tv presenter/personality. And I see loads of guys with teeth whiter than my bathroom sink. It’s a bizarre look but it’s their own money…

Bright white teeth are indeed an awful look.

Those, in tandem with sink plunger lips, ruin many a girl's face, imo.

And as for the strange 'Rylan look' that younger guys sport; words fail me.

I blame Simon Cowel... teeth so white and perfect that they look more false than actual false teeth. I like natural things to look natural. The Queen Mother had perfect teeth.
