Got a call from "them" saying they wanted to upgrade my service and promising I would never get another nuisance call.
I said "thank you.....I will phone you right back".
Googled it......and it is a scam. If you wish to proceed they will ask for money via a card.
I messaged family and friends.....blimey...daughter said she had the same call less than 5 minutes ago.

Yes it is a scam.Have had two calls recently.Asked them where they were calling from said BT, but where in England. That started them giving a loud of blurb about the service.Repeat I was not interested several times. Finally wound up the call by saying certainly would not deal with someone who didn’t understand the meaning of not interested.

No probably not but you get my gist, these scams cost next to nought to run and they have probably structured their lists based on specific demographics designed for maximum penetration ( @Fnaar ) You call my old aunt during Father Brown she will do anyhing to get you off the phone

If you have anyone who you think might be vulnerable get them a phone like this http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6161084truly a marvellous bit of kit. We haven’t had a single cold call or scam in a couple of years now.
I have similar phones. No calls get through unless I allow them.
Well worth the cost! (About £49 IIRC)

Cheers for the heads up though.
