Tut tut!!!!

I would have done the same, I'm sure.

lol, I actually had to jump the red at the set of temp lights before these ones as well. I hadn't intended to, but as I was about to slow down (the lights had just gone amber) I realised the guy in the Merc behind me was going through the red whatever was in front of him!!!

BTW, he only got half way along and then got stopped by the queue I mentioned in the OP blocking the way for the oncoming traffic. NW London commuting is great (not).

Not me I would have waited there forever.

These temp lights are a pain in my area at the moment.

Almost daily, I cycle along a 25m stretch of quiet coastal road and have to endure these things at every hole being dug in the road. Traffic on the road is fairly light so I have taken to ignoring the zarks if I can see that the road is empty at the other end - which is almost always the case!!

I wouldn't jump a RL at a junction but I just don't see any point in stopping at these things if I'm the only road user. After all, they are only there to control traffic at a work site, so if there ain't any traffic approaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
