Tempoary Replacement

Bought a temp replacement to tide me over for a couple of months till I can afford a new road bike after my recent break in.

I got myself a Kona Jake the Snake 2007 model. Awful colour (IMO) and I am not too impressed with the brakes, got it for a steal though '£120' (which it may well have been, but the seller had an original receipt from Evans and he seemed to know the bike) and rode it 34 miles home from East London using bog standard platform pedals. First thing tomorrow morning put a pair of SPD pedals on and probably change the saddle too.

I feel for you. It was a grim theft. Hope the new bike works out well.

Kona do some really bizarre colours! I ended up buying a 2004 (rather than 2005) Kikapu because I couldn't cope with their mustard/red/silver design.

Just finished changing some parts on the kona, seat post, saddle, pedals etc and found a note hidden in the old seat post. If this bike was nicked then it has travelled far. The note was a name and owner from Australia.
